 5 ways to stay awake?

1. Sleep before midnight and get up before 9am so it works out to be 8hrs

2. Eat a decent brekkie

3. Keep yourself busy and doing things. e.g. When I am really tired during a lecture (which is a form of passive learning) I try to take as much notes as I can, that requires attention and it distracts me from falling asleep

4. I am guilty of this: coffee, but try eating an apple or other fruits (mixed with yoghurt)

5. Sit under the sun, the light will signal the receptors behind your eyes that it should be waking hours. Smiley Happy

5 Ways to improve handwriting

1. Practice. Repeatedly write out each letter in captial and lower case, moving on to words and sentences; 'the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog' works well.

2. Start learning different writing styles - calligraphy, short-hand, language with different characters.

3. Create a new type of writing where your handwriting is perfect.

4. Swear off typing until you're happy with your writing.

5. Dictate to someone else with beautiful handwriting.

5 ways to open up to a professional

1) Jot down the things you want to say on paper and have it with you when you are with your therapist/ professional (you can read it out or hand it over for her/him to read)

2) Give them a call (maybe organise it previously if you know s/he is hard to get a hold of), this is esp good if face-to-face is too confronting

3) Send them an email

4) Do a creative piece of what you want to say and hand it over. (I did this once to express an idea, just grabbed catalogues and cut out pictures)

5) find the confidence, you know it's worth it.
