i totally agree that porn, and talking about porn can decrease the taboo around it. i mean, whether we watch or not, its in media and around us a lot.
its great that you have shared that you have definitely used porn-like material to learn things about sex, i think thats definitely a big part of porn-watching, whether we do it with the intent to learn, or we learn things along the way

Can porn be educational?
Yep. Although we've also covered a bunch of situations that are not so educational. I think there's probably even deliberately educational porn out there somewhere and there's definitely porn that IS a realistic depiction of all kinds of intimate realistic sex stuff with another person.
There's a thing on the internet called rule 34: there's porn of everything.... So that means there's some bad stuff out there, but there's also good stuff too that might help a person learn more or learn more about their sexuality (no matter what that is) .

i agree with @Ben-RO, it can definitely be an important way to learn about sex. Hell, my high school certainly didnt teach me much other than STI's and contraception in sex-ed, so porn on the internet was a great learning platform. However, it is so important to also keep your mind open o the fact that only some vids or erotica are actually helpful for accurate education, and a lot are definitely not.
i think ive even seen educational categories online!!

Good point @Craycray17!
Also... regarding STI's porn doesn't talk about important things like wearing a condom, getting regular checks for STI's every time you have a new partner or every 6 months and things like that!
