Introductions from Bre
Hi everyone!
You may have already noticed my name floating around over the past couple of days. If not, my name is Bre and I'm new to the forums community. I'm super excited to be part of what I can tell is a really safe and supportive environment.
I'm sure I'll get to know some of you really well so I wanted to share a little bit about me.
About me
I've been working for organisations geared towards supporting people for almost five years. Of all the different roles I've stepped into during this time I'd have to say helping out with a LGBTIQA+ support group for young people was really inspiring. I think my favourite thing about that was seeing people grow into themselves and have a safe place to express who they are inside.
I've also worked in crisis services and education support services. All of these experiences have contributed to who I am today and how passionate I am about supporting people through various stages in their lives. What I've learnt is that no matter who you are or where you come from - all us human beings need one another. Sometimes all we need is a little push in the right direction
With all that said, I get the feeling that being part of ReachOut forums will be the most exciting venture I've had to date.
When I have "me time" I love to listen to music - for me it's such a great way to escape into my imagination, express my emotions and uplift myself. I enjoy basically every genre and would love to hear what you all like to listen to?
Another one of my passions is writing! Whether it be poetry, opinion pieces, stories or song-lyrics. Sometimes saying how we feel can be hard but putting pen to paper can be a really nice way of getting things off your chest. What kinds of things do you all do to express yourselves?
I think that's enough about me for now But I'm really looking forward to hearing from you all! Feel free to ask me any questions you have as well

So lovely to have another community manager here, and I can assure you, your assumptions about this community being wonderful, are more than correct. We all can't wait to see you around on the forums!
That's pretty cool art @Tiny_leaf! I agree. I'm personally more of an artist, but I do like to sing songs and other stuff too!

Hi @Bre-RO! Welcome aboard!
It's so nice to meet you! I'm excited to see you around the forums!
I love listening to music too. What I like to listen to depends on my mood. My family and I love to listen to Taylor Swift and Adele.
I also had a passion for writing when I was younger! Nowadays, I mostly write in a journal.

Thank you all for your responses
@Tiny_leaf Thank you for sharing your art! I can tell you are definitely talented.
@ecla34 I'm with you on that, still an emo kid at heart I read a lot for uni but find it hard to fit in recreational reading - definitely something I need to work on. I take it you're a reader?
@scared01 @xXLexi_Lou122Xx Thank you both for making me feel so welcomed - I really appreciate it.
@Esperanza67 Wow your taste in music is very eclectic! Are enjoying Taylor Swifts new music? Haven't checked out Chance's new album - do you recommend it?
@WheresMySquishy That's so lovely that you listen to music with your family Adele is amazing
Can't wait to get to know you all more

Re: Introductions from Bre
Welcome @Bre-RO,
I love a bunch of different genres, but mostly indie rock and pop. I recently went to go see James Blake which was cool. I also love to write to express myself, but I also enjoy crafting and have become a fan of cooking recently!
