Re: INFOBUS: Suicide: overcoming the myths
Thanks so much for that amazing summary michine! Also a HUGE thanks to HopeHappens for being our wonderful guest tonight. It's so important that we do everything we can to work as a community to prevent suicide - and it's great to know that there are practical steps that we can take to play our part.
To everyone who participated tonight - thanks for making this discussion happen, it's a really valuable conversation to have and will be really helpful for people to read over in the future. Now bedtime

Re: INFOBUS: Suicide: overcoming the myths
Thanks Gail & michine and everyone else.
Most suicides are preventable but it takes us all working together and caring for each other to stem the tide of suicide.
Good night!

Re: INFOBUS: Suicide: overcoming the myths
Thanks for a great chat tonight everyone!
We talked a lot tonight about the importance of opening up and not being afraid to talk about suicide. If you or someone you know is in need of help, remember you can call Kids help line (1800 55 1800), Life line (13 11 14) or Suicide call back 1300 659 467 24/7. If you are worried someone is in immediate risk of harming themselves or someone else, don't be afraid to call 000.
Thanks to everyone who participated, and to Gail, Michine and HopeHappens for facilitating
R.
And still, I rise.
