Letting the negative self talk go
Yesterday I wrote a post saying how I struggle with saying a lot of negative things to myself and I got a lot of helpful suggestions.
Sometimes challenging my inner bully can be almost impossible, especially in the moment when i'm angry or upset at myself. But there is alternative, recognising that the inner bully is there and giving myself space to recognise it, accept and let it pass.

@Ben-RO suggested that I make a thread so that a few us can work on this together, I know that I find doing things with other people a lot easier.
Hopefully some of you want to work on this too and we'll use this thread to talk about how we're all going with it and post some updates!

but I'm going to do Bite Size -> 3 minute body scan in 15mins time (i.e. 5:45pm EST) if anyone feels like joining in then or sometime after.
I just wanted to tag you in this thread because every day (or two) we all sit down and do a mindfulness session together wherever we are in the world. It can be something that makes a HUGE difference to thoughts that are hard to deal with.
@j95 @Bay52VU@Creativegirl12 are on pretty regularly and seem to think it goes alright.

@Creativegirl12 it really does take practice huh. It's one of the best skills you can build i reckon though, literally a life-saver for some people. @Bay52VU it's almost good to be pulled away by thoughts, because it gives you an opourtunity to realise they don't rule you and that -while tricky- you can notice them as just thoughts that are pulling you in rather than being trapped in them without realising that there was another option. Or something like that, i need a coffee 😛
