Letting the negative self talk go

Yesterday I wrote a post saying how I struggle with saying a lot of negative things to myself and I got a lot of helpful suggestions.

 

Sometimes challenging my inner bully can be almost impossible, especially in the moment when i'm angry or upset at myself. But there is alternative, recognising that the inner bully is there and giving myself space to recognise it, accept and let it pass. 

 

Have a look at this link where @Kaz-RO explains a bit more of the process

 

@Ben-RO suggested that I make a thread so that a few us can work on this together, I know that I find doing things with other people a lot easier.  

Hopefully some of you want to work on this too and we'll use this thread to talk about how we're all going with it and post some updates!

It was cool and something that I have done a bit in the past, just different, sometimes I think where the meat comes from when I eat it and suddenly I don't like it

I definitely enjoyed it though. I am going to try it a bit more often when i eat. Especially when i eat weird stuff that is hard to imagine 😛

 

Another cool mindfulness thing i got told about yesterday is a thing called "where are my hands".

 

It's literally that. Just think about where your hands are right now.

 

Do it like whenever you remember to.

I did the food one. Ate chocolate, chocolate is always the highlight of the day. I found it interesting, a bit messy since it melted in my hand.

Haha i ate Jellybeans, similar problem @Creativegirl12! It was really good though, sometimes i get really easily distracted when i am focussing on breathing. But mindful eating? Totally forget about everything else 😛 Did you find yourself distracted? Did you find it as relaxing or helpful as other types of mindfulness?

I've actually got ju jitsu in tenish minutes, so I won't be joining but now that my room is tidy and I'm sort of better, hopefully I'll be doing these. With RO or without 😛

You will need some food for this one (Preferably Chocolate or something else you like eating)
