Re: Adulting : medical care

Hey @BunnyWalks,

Giving one of the phone numbers a call is probably the best way to find out if you'll be covered for home visits etc. Hopefully you're able to sort it out!

Re: Adulting : medical care

Dude, you should make EKG. Such often illness could be a signal of problems with cardio system. However, because of Covid-19, it can be difficult to find really professional EKG Technician. I know a lot of cases than my colleagues had made a mistake during the procedure of EKG and it has had really harmful consequences. I have been taking education at universities which are represented https://www.exploremedicalcareers.com/ekg-technician/, only those programs give you really high quality knowledge. Hope that everything will be okay. It is very essential to be careful of health. As I know in Melbourne there is a very difficult pandemic situation, it is better to stay at home, as long as it is possible.

Re: Adulting : medical care

Hi everyone, please excuse me randomly popping in here.

@BunnyWalks sorry to hear you've been unwell, I hope you feel better soon and can seek some medical treatment.

@dncinginthedirt I don't mean to invade the thread here so my apologies, but I was just wondering if Nurse On Call would be able to help with mental health please? I don't mean an emergency like 000, I just mean someone to talk to and/or get advice if you can't get through to helplines such as Lifeline for example, or a professional? I've never used it before. Or is it more Physical stuff? I have a Bunion and my GP hasn't done much, he sent me a referral to a surgeon but they said it "doesn't fit the criteria", like what? Could I ask for help with that?

Re: Adulting : medical care

Hi @BunnyWalks I live in SA and not sure if its the same as VIC, but especially with everything in COVID, my regular GP and specialists have allowed phone consults so that I don't need to go in and that's arranged by calling the practice I go to and asking the receptionist if it can be a phone consult instead. Also even speaking to the receptionists at the practices I go to they direct me to where I need to go or try to answer questions if I have them, so you could try that. I hope that helps, all the best Heart
