Re: Self care ideas!

@scared01 this is a cool idea for a thread! I've used some of the ones you've listed as self-care ideas as well. I also like to take naps, especially since my sleep can be pretty bad at times, and I also make sure to exercise regularly as self-care too.

There's probably some good self-care ideas in 1000001 COPING STRATEGIES & DISTRACTIONS and Today I practiced self care by... as well

Re: Self care ideas!

Re: Self care ideas!

I'm afraid I don't really have anything new to add here @scared01, but in terms of self-care, my usual choices are:

- colouring in

 - making myself a cup of tea

- cleaning my room (weird, I know. But I feel like if the physical space around me is less cluttered, then my mind tends to be as well...)

- journalling

- and coming onto the forums!

Re: Self care ideas!

My fave self care things are:

- Watching a funny or uplifting TV show (my faves atm are Brooklyn 99, The Good Place, Wynonna Earp and Queer Eye!)

- Journalling or writing poetry

- Cleaning my room, opening the window and lighting a candle so it smells nice

- Listening to music and making playlists

- Putting on my favourite clothes

- Getting stuff done! Sometimes self care for me is relieving the pressure of having too much to do by doing some of it, like running errands or making appointments etc

- Reorganising or adding things to my pinterest boards

- Having a hot drink like tea or milo

- Nice sensory things, like sitting in the sunshine or cuddling up with a soft blanket
