A Poem About Losing Someone *WARNING MAY BE A TRIGGER*

Losing Someone

30 minutes past and the sun has long gone to bed.

I lay awake as dreams grow and explode in my head

I dream about what it will be like to fly

To fly instead of smiling and telling a lie

I watch other kids almost always smile and play

But I continue to talk to my them even if they are far away

I know they is gone and they have left me

But I know that as I talk to them, I feel free.

I dream about the day I join them in home at last

I know it hurts for now but try to forget the past.

Live a long life and then when it is the end

I know I will be with them my one true family and friend.

I really resonate with this line, really beautiful:

A poem about Lost

I try so hard to make them stay
But it is their choice at the end of the day
I try to talk, be normal as I wear a smile
I don't want to but I've been sad for a while

I still try hard to talk and play
But my friends all get bored and walk away
they leave me and find second best
Then they disappear noticing me less and less

if I snap and react they start  wondering why
They will be hurt and say you were doing fine.
But you never heard my cries at night
As I made friends and tried to fight.

Now the beast is happy I'm on my own
It happily sinks deep into my bones
The weight holds me down tight
And everyday I try to make friends and fight.

Yet they turn away unable to see
That I am not trying to do this for me
Please don't forget that I'm human too
I am at my rope's end what do I do.

Hi @Hungryturtle22,

Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of poetry, I can really feel the emotion behind the words as I read through. I'm hearing that this feeling of grief and loss has been really heavy for you lately, and the feelings of loneliness when people don't understand has been really tough, is this correct?

Your poetry is so incredibly powerful in conveying how you feel- to write something as raw and honest as this is incredibly courageous and we are very grateful that you can share your poetry here and express how you are feeling in such a powerful and moving way Heart

Yeah pretty accurate description of feelings there @Jess1-RO. Just thought it would be better shared then hidden.

Another one (Sorry)

Title: Hurt and Broken

I feel it, something has broken inside me

It hurts so bad but no one can see

Like a clock that has ticked the last tock

The cracks in my heart will remain under a lock

Every time I breathe, I feel the pain inside

Wondering how many times I have tried

Tried to forget the things I have been through

Forgot the pain that was left from you

I am tired but I do not know why

Sometimes I wonder if it's because I am shy

Never able to speak without being afraid of getting hurt

Afraid they will laugh and I will get kicked to the dirt

Tonight as I lay down to try and rest

I will cry and listen to my heart in my chest

Listen as the beats start to slow

Then wonder when it is my time to go

Disclaimer:

Just a poem about broken and hurt. I lost a friend recently because I did not listen to when she said that she wanted to go away. I assumed moving away but she meant something different. So yeah that is that and hope someone knows that they are not alone lol.
