Re: Short Sads

A tough year can certainly suck, although a lot of people find that they have better times once they've learned to manage their symptoms better. We can't know the future, but that's sort of a good thing because it means we can't predict the future based on what the past has been like. What we can do though is learn from the past and try to drive our futures in the positive directions we want them to go.

To me it still sounds like you need medial attention for the physical pain just to find out what's up so I'd still urge you to tell your case manager (even if you wait til they call today) or if not then arrange a dr appt (at emergency or otherwise with a gp). Which of those sounds preferable to you?

Re: Short Sads

When my case manager called, I just started crying on her. She told me to see my own doctor when I could, so that's tomorrow. She's also making a referral for me to go stay at PARC. Could be worse, could be the ward.

Re: Short Sads

I'm glad she called, and its great too great that you're going to the doc tomorrow. Have you booked the appointment?
Hopefully you'll be able to get some specialised care at PARC.Have you been there before @loves netball?

Re: Short Sads

Yeah I've been made an appointment @Bay52VU

I've been shown PARC before but have never stayed there. Apparently they'll do some assessment and ask me what I want to get out of going there. I have no idea what I want from going there. I only agreed because my case manager kept asking. I'm not really keen on it. I think it will be too much like hospital

Awesome - great work getting the appointment! Smiley Happy

Ah ok, does it help a bit that you sort of know what to expect going in?

"What do you want to get out of going there" is a pretty tough question, huh... If you'd like we could try to brainstorm some ideas?

Re: Short Sads

its really good at parc . . . there are YPARC places around but only a couple I think . . . its alot nicer than going to hospital and more freedom Smiley Happy its good you might not know what you want when you go in but the point of it is, is if you dont have something now then you can just work on things and think of things while youre in there; ITS NOT like hospital at all its alot more relaxed unless you go off ya marbles and have it affect the other residents

Re: Short Sads

I want a purpose in life, but I'm not sure how PARC will help with that. It's an adult one unfortunately. I told my case manager that it won't stop me from self harming.

Re: Short Sads

OMG I ended up home alone for 5 minutes and the self harm has started again. I can't stop myself
