Speech appointment

Re: Speech appointment

hey @mattyD its ok to be nervous. its to be expected becasue you dont know whats going to happen, or what your therapist might be like etc.
a good therapist will work with you at your speed not just boss you around so please try to be honest about your nervousness and how you feel about going to fast

Re: Speech appointment

@mattyD as someone who has seen specialists before i can say they know all to well that its not an overnight fix, itll take time, the different exercises and patience to get where you want to be.
i had the same fears, i was stressing they were wanting a miracle but when i got there it was a different story and before i had said anything they explained to me itll be a quite a journey.

but if being upfront is something thatll help with your nerves then go for it. its your session so you can speak your fears about whatever it is
