Re: Staying safe and calming down
Yeah @loves netball, it was very kind of them but the people who pretended not to see me were actually more helpful haha.
Ah yes that's a good idea! On my plan I'm going to have a list of triggered and then a list of ways to cope/things to do as soon as one of the triggers happens, I'll definitely put STOP skill on there.

Re: Staying safe and calming down
I went to bed feeling this way and then I woke up feeling this way @Bree-RO We have family over today for a while but I'm soooo tired and I don't know if I can cope. It seems like I feel this way every day tbh (except when I'm studying).

Re: Staying safe and calming down
Seems that family is a real cause of stress for @DruidChild
Have you made a weighted teddy yet?

Yeah it is @loves netball
Not yet, I'm trying to find my stuffed blue dog to use as a weighted toy but I can't find him anywhere Maybe that can be my project for the week.

Re: Staying safe and calming down
I've heard op shops can be good for stuff toys.
I would give you big ted, BUT he's mine!

Re: Staying safe and calming down
I actually found another teddy that I could maybe use...I'm flinching a bit at cutting him open to put the weights inside though!
Aw that's sweet, but you've got to keep your big ted

Re: Staying safe and calming down
A different way to think of it is... giving the teddy an operation
Big ted has had two operations and now I'm extra careful with him and he gets lots and lots of hugs
