hey @Esperanza67

That's a shame @scared01 Smiley Sad. How are you going today?

Re: coping with pressures and expectations

im abit emotional but i think that could be contributed from my current fevers and infection @Esperanza67
im mostly just pretty tired and having lots of thoughts about the coming days

Re: coping with pressures and expectations

@scared01 having a fever and infection would definitely be tough! I know that I tend to feel emotional and tired when I'm dealing with health things.
What's worrying you about the coming days?
Do you think you'll be able to have a good rest tonight?

Re: coping with pressures and expectations

hi @missep
yeah infections are yuk, my temps seem to be lower this morning after 2 days of high fevers so hopefully itll keep reducing.
tomorrow i have to catch a train for 2 hrs to go see a dental sugeon which is rather scary as they will also be telling me when ill be getting the surgury done etc.
i had some sleep but not till after 2am. ive got so much internal conflict happening its hard to work it out myself

Re: coping with pressures and expectations

@scared01 I'm glad the fever is going down! Definitely don't blame you for feeling yuck Smiley Sad

I can also see how the train ride/surgeon appointment would be really anxiety provoking... are you going alone or is someone coming with you? Could you do something on the train to keep yourself occupied? Heart

Re: coping with pressures and expectations

ill have my phone so will prob have music on with headphones as i like the quiet carriage. and might take the crochetting or something. its quite a long train ride, considering i dont even go on trains and havent been on one for yrs

Re: coping with pressures and expectations

@scared01 ahhh that really sucks i'm sorry you've had people read your diary, it totally ruins any sense of security about writing down your thoughts Smiley Sad
i hope everything goes okay today with the dental surgeon and the train ride, taking some crocheting with you sounds like a really nice idea to take your mind off of things on the way there Smiley Happy
are you feeling a bit better health-wise today?

Re: coping with pressures and expectations

@scared01

There's a step by step guide which takes you through possible questions you can ask any doctor you see, whether it's a GP or specialist. It includes first time visits, follow up and discussing tests and results. You can save questions and they can be emailed to you or saved to a word document. It's called 'question builder'. It probably won't help you now, but it's something thats available should you need. I'd link you to the guide, but it would probably breach guidelines.

I hope you get some answers and a plan going forward without too much trouble.

Re: coping with pressures and expectations

thank you @ecla34
my appointment isnt until tomorrow though. ill be on the train about 11 and get there about 1 which will leave me an hr and a half to get out of the train station (its a main stopping point in a big city, the last time i was there, there were 3 different levels for different things like eating areas, and bathrooms and gift shops!. so we'll be able to use the bathroom and get pop some lunch before headng over to the appointment. its only a 10 minute walk out of the train station so works well. there was a train that would get me there but only 20 minutes to spare and i think thats abit to much stress to cope with and worrying about delays etc.

thank you @Shadow that document would be good. im not sure sure about those sorts of documents...? @gina-RO @Jess1-RO
it sounds like a good thing to have though
