Re: [CHAT] Being happy, healthy…and thrifty

Rent, which reminds me that I've got to pay it.
Food, a girl has gotta eat!
Presents, gotta purchase 1 a fortnight so as I'm not poor close to Christmas.
Craft/art supplies, one thing that I've found to work the best.
Public Transport, keep forgetting to purchase the cheap tickets. Smiley Sad

My entire life can be described in one sentence: It didn't go as planned and that's okay. ツ

uhhh @florenceforever i know ! all my money seems to go to food at uni... like $9 for a toasted roll thingy..

you would think in a place where all the poor students are congregated they could make things cheaper?!

toiletries and makeup, food, petrol !

things like insurance and rego/license

and the train is actually damn expensive in perth

well... everything is expensive in perth haha

Welcome @stonepixie! Smiley Happy

Re: [CHAT] Being happy, healthy…and thrifty

Oh yeah - clothes and make up that I don't need. Public transport. Phone bills. Medical bills. Books I don't have time to read.

@stonepixie heyy!

Re: [CHAT] Being happy, healthy…and thrifty

You would think so @hartley_! $14 for a bowl of dry tomato pasta at uni today. No thank you!

Re: [CHAT] Being happy, healthy…and thrifty

Ok, next question!

Do you find it hard to save money?

I've tried putting aside 'emergency' money every week and this seems to be quite tricky!

Re: [CHAT] Being happy, healthy…and thrifty

I'm lucky and don't find it hard to save money. That's only because I still live at home and don't have to deal with rent or bills yet. I put a quarter of what I earn, no matter how much money I need that week, into a big savings account that I don't touch.

When I move out I will definitely find it a lot harder to save!

Re: [CHAT] Being happy, healthy…and thrifty

@stonepixie , I spend a lot on presents too! Buying for someone else seems to give me an excuse to spend a lot
