Great that you could join us DD!
Loved this bit especially "being polite even when you don't really feel like it or don't really know the person that well"
Sometimes socialising can be tough, but sometimes it can also be worth pushing through

What ways can we be social WITHOUT social media?
Talking to friends or family or others over coffee, write a letter, call someone.

Talk to people! Pick up the phone! There are lots of ways to be social without social media, going to the beach, going out at night, going shopping, going bowling, going to a party... You just need to open to trying things I think

Great point about being open to trying things @delicatedreamer . Sometimes awesome stuff can happen when you're open to new experiences and meeting new people!

Use this thing called a phone. Actually dial it and use it for what it was invented for, Hahaha.
Go out and join some clubs, start volunteering. Play sports. Just get out and enjoy all of what life has to offer. That drink with a mate you've been putting off? Go and organise it.

I agree @EloiseRose - there's so many different types of groups for all sorts of interests out there where you can meet and interact with people.
