So it's great to hear all your thoughts on Valentine's Day! It seems a lot of you have some strong opinions.

Next question is...

Do you have any plans on Valentines day? Or what have you done in the past?

Thoughts on Valentines Day from the dating side of things.

Its our second Valentines Day together and I think we've kind of come to the conclusion that we're not doing it.

Not that I'd mind going out for dinner or a movie or getting flowers, ah, but I don't think a certain day should tell us we have to do all that stuff. Like we love each other everyday of the year and do those things when it suits us. In saying that though I do feel a little bit of pressure that because I'm in a relationship I should have Valentines Day plans but am comfortable that we've agreed on how were handling it (nothing more awkward than one person going all out and the other forgetting haha). Um also who wants to go out to spend the night in places packed with other couples/not able to get a table blah blah cause everyone else is doing the same thing. Plus I work Friday soo I'd rather not be out and about Thursday night.

Also Valentines Day is quite commercialised. Hello cards, choccies, flowers etc. but its the industry. Florists deserve to have an excuse to sell flowers. And some guys need a kick in the butt to pull out the romantics.

I however will not be celebrating any further than wishing my boyfriend a 'Happy Valentine's' Day on Thursday morning and maybe choosing his favourite when choosing what to make for dinner. Love should be an every day of the year thing Smiley Happy Rant over.

No plans for me. I don't usually do anything. I think one year when I was in high school me and some of my friends had a singles dinner though, lol.

ETA: Agree 100% with everything you said Learn-to-fly

No plans for me this Valentines Day, I don't celebrate it because it's so commercialized. Plus I'm still young and so in the past there hasn't been as much pressure to do anything much for it.
