Re: February 14. The day of love?

@DelicateDreamer: I never thought of that, I really dislike it when people assume that you have to have a boyfriend/girlfriend to be happy! Like no, I’m not in love with anyone, but that doesn’t mean I’m not happy. I get asked all the time “do you like anyone?” my honest answer is no, really because I just haven’t met anyone that I’ve really fallen for, I’ve had crushes, but nothing that would warrant a relationship.. and people are amazed, they just don’t get it.

what are your thoughts on valentine’s day? (e.g. pressure to do something nice, commercialism, money)."
Personally I dislike Valentine’s Day! Honestly I think it’s a bit of a silly idea to spoil your partner on just one day! Like shouldn’t we be expressing our love more often? Why only on Feb 14? It’s too commercialised! I also dislike the pressure it puts on people to be in a relationship, and people quite often feel a bit down because they are ‘alone’ and not in a relationship.
@Birdeye & Sophie: My mum can’t use the computer either! She can get onto one site to play games and that’s it! I tried teaching her how to use Facebook, it didn’t work out too well… Lets just say that I knew when she was trying to use it “B, can you come help me with this?” , “What do I click?” , “How do I do this?”

Re: February 14. The day of love?

Do you have any plans on Valentines day? Or what have you done in the past?

This year I've decided that I don't care about being single; there are other types of love and other people I can share some happiness with. I have plans to give a bunch of my friends cards and hearts.

Has anyone seen the movie 'Valentines Day' (it has a whole bunch of really famous people in it...) anyway, they have kind of a 'We hate V-day' party, that's what my friend's are planning on doing... Hahaha, I'm not sure if I'll join in the festivities yet.

I remember in High School I HATED V-day. Everyone would get flowers and chocolates and balloons and I'd be sitting there playing with my connecter textas.

Re: February 14. The day of love?

@dreamcatcher - I hated V-day in high school too!. High school is hard enough without having your relationship status pushed in your face!

Re: February 14. The day of love?

@Dilz: That's what I've thought. I guess I need to be okay with myself before I can have someone that close Smiley Happy
@Dreamcatcher: Yepp 
Lokifih, HIIIII Smiley Very Happy

I don't have any plans for Valentines day. And I've never really done anything, but that probably has something to do with the fact that I've never had a proper relationship with anyone. My mum sometime makes a bit of a fuss and does a special tea or buys some flowers, but that's about it Smiley Happy

Re: February 14. The day of love?

@dilz couldn't agree more! There's so much pressure to have a boyfriend/girlfriend. omg.

Re: February 14. The day of love?

@Sophie: Haha sounds like my Grandad - He's on FB, has an iphone, iPad and Apple TV! He's a bit obsessed with gadgets haha.

Re: February 14. The day of love?

I like how there is more accepted anti-V day sentiment these days
