Re: GR - Back to School Special! 28th Jan

Great question @Ladybug !
(Great job helping tonight btw!)

Question 3 ~ Do you have a subject or subjects that you are good at or enjoy studying?
When I was in high school I loved biology and history. I had a lot of fun with them. In uni since I'm a psych major I really enjoy psych classes! Psychoanalysis was especially interesting!

Question 4

personally i don’t have a strength in any subjects but i do like design (sewing)  and it’s also quite enjoyable and easy. the only subject i have gotten full marks for 2 years in a row haha ! it’s just so chill and no pressure Smiley Happy

Re: GR - Back to School Special! 28th Jan

@unwind I agree!! Even though I am doing my undergrad right now, a three month break was a bit too much for mee. I never felt soo unproductive and inactive as I have during these holidays. But I also know what it will feel like going back to the grind and then having back to back submissions 😶. Only gets brutal lol

I missed one of my last sign-ons @Esperanza67  last week, bleh. I had gone through all of the options in case that happened, so fortunately it didn't mess up my table too much!

Question 3 ~ Do you have a subject or subjects that you are good at or enjoy studying?

I honestly don't know what to expect from uni subjects, but I was always keen on math / IT classes in highschool -- except during the first week (it's like a recap week). As the year came to close, I came to enjoy ancient history and sometimes science because time passed quickly. Smiley Very Happy

@ecla34 That is amazing 💃 I am sure you will like it 😊. What course are you doing?

Back in high school I really enjoyed maths, science, drama, music and psychology. Now that I'm at uni studying psych, my favourites would have to be social, evolutionary and developmental psychology, and surprisingly, stats (only because I love math!). I also enjoyed studying Spanish at uni as well Smiley Very Happy

Re: GR - Back to School Special! 28th Jan

@litgym no pressure subjects are the best!! my high school IT classes were a bit like that in the lower levels, i got good marks for doing things like making venn diagrams about vikings Smiley LOL no idea now how that was relevant to IT haha

thank yoooou @DIVYA i'm doing science specialising in psych, how about you? Smiley Very Happy

Re: GR - Back to School Special! 28th Jan

Do you have a subject or subjects that you are good at or enjoy studying?

I feel like I always have a different answer to this question depending on the topic I'm studying Smiley LOL. My favourite subject (at the moment) would probably be History. I really took to this subject at the end of last year. I really enjoy learning about history, it gives you a perspective into the past that really changes my perspective on modern issues.

A lot of the content that you learn is arguably useful. I think it's advantageous to be knowledgeable about pivotal moments in history, namely world wars, for example. The knowledge is more applicable to everyday life than, for an example, harder math work.

Re: GR - Back to School Special! 28th Jan

Oooh don't get me started on how Venn diagrams and IT relate @ecla34 Smiley LOL

I think the other thing @unwind, is that the skills you learn in the histories are invaluable! You learn how to form arguments, connect different ideas, identify bias and people's motivations, research properly and present information in different ways. I chose Ancient History as my sixth senior subject for that.  Smiley Very Happy
