What is an 'adult'? What do adults do? Do you consider yourself one?

What is an 'adult'? What do adults do? Do you consider yourself one?
In my opinion, an adult is someone who has come of a certain age. I don't agree with other definitions that an adult is someone who is fully grown or developed because I don't think we ever stop growing up.
Adults have more responsibilities and can do more things in their community than children. But everyone's adult life and roles are different.
I'm legally an adult, but I often don't act like one.

Adulting... I guess it’s when you have to start doing grown up stuff like paying bills and holding yourself accountable for things.

Hmm what is an adult, I'm not sure, it's a social construct that's a bit arbitrary. Is it an age cut off? Is it based on your experiences? Your responsibilities? If you've finished growing? What do adults do hmm I guess the idea of an adult is having responsibilities like work, caring for others, sharing knowledge. Do I consider myself an adult? Nope! haha

- By law? 18 years + but to me, an adult is someone who is independent.

- Work, study, cry, live life, travel

i guess adulthood is kind of a mixture of maturity and responsibility? but then again these things come at different stages for different people so it's hard to define! i'm like you @WheresMySquishy , sometimes i'm an adult...but only sometimes

I'm not surprised all our ideas are different. This definition is so hard... Especially because it differs between countries and cultures!
In a lot of countries, children can have a lot of responsibilities such as working too.
