The internet, magazines and friends I think.
Yeah, same for me...information is a lot easier to find these days compared to when I was a teenager though. I'd have to say high school really started it off for me.

50% from friends40% from internet
10% from school
0% from parents
lol dilz I thought I red 10% from pets hahahahaha
those figures are mostly true for me
although school is heaps lower. i don't think ive ever had a proper/formal discussion about sex at school before.
and if i don't remember it it must've been heaps irrelevant.
considering that i went to a catholic school i'm not surprised though.
would've even mention sex let alone specific information like sexual health for gay men.
just saying

I'll shout it out - PORNOGRAPHY.
It may not be the best and most reliable source but people are sourcing their sex ed from it.
It's a start I'll say.
From what I can guess, I'd have to say that porn is a false representation of what sex is actually like. It's all for show and entertainment.

Got 'the birds & the bees talk' from Mum, but let's be honest - has that ever helped anyone? Biggest source would probably be movies/media, more recently friends (as I've been more comfortable talking to friends about it), and then probably internet.

I think i was lucky...I went to a public school where we had sex ed classes year 7-10. I even had some sex education in primary school (not detailed stuff of course)..

Oh, just thought of another 'pressure' too... I have been listening to music for the last hour or so, just had my iPod on shuffle - and I think almost every 2nd or 3rd song has sexual references (maybe it just means I need new songs!! lol)... Is it really that hard for artists to find other things to sing about??

totally get what you mean. it's a little sad that sex sells so well. do you think it might be helping the younger generation be more comfortable with the idea of sexuality and sex though ? it's not always accurate though. i think it does both. it helps the younger generation be more free yet at the same time it's not the whole or best message

The fact that I haven't actually had sex freaks me out a little when I think about my potential 'first time' so to speak. People make it such a big deal, which makes it seem so pivotal as well, that can make it seem daunting at times.

STDS ! did i scare you ?
Studying a health related course at the moment we always hear about all the things that can go wrong. The graphic pictures don't help. It instils a lot of fear into me.
You just don't hear as much about the best things about sex.
