Check in: How was your week?
Hey everyone.
This seemed to be a fairly popular thread in the old forums, and it's always nice to check in with each other and reflect on how we're getting on, and the highlights of our week.
So... How was everyone's week? What were some of the highlights?
Highlight of my week was going for a swim today! My brother's girlfriend came over last night and she said she had done laps at a pool about 15 mins away... I used to like swimming when I was younger (was never good at it, but it is a great way to get fit!), so I thought I'd give it a go! It was tough but I managed to swim 500m. 🙂 I'm so unfit but I am looking forward to continuing to do it at least every couple of days. 🙂 I also discovered a pool even closer to me! 😄
Sorry your week has been a bit miserable MM 😞 Hopefully this week is better - sending healing and happy vibes to you & your pup! I really enjoy swimming, hopefully it'll be warm enough here soon to get into it!
I generally hate summer, so I think getting back into swimming will help me feel more excited about summer!! It's been very warm here lately, so it was nice to go for a swim. 🙂

How has your weeks been? Any struggles you concurred? Any amazing moments?
I got the bulk of my uni assessments out of the way today. Even if my lecturer was super intimidating and I had to speak to a screen like they were a patient for 10 minutes. Yeah that was sort of awkward.
I also finally mentioned something to my psych which has been on my mind...well since I was probably 12. So that's massive for me. Haven't heard from her, but i'm really content and at peace with it now. It's like a huge weight has lifted and itwill only make it easier to discuss.
@Bee 😞 Hopefully this week looks up and writing essays are always fun. Well when they're finished! I handed in my last one today for this semester.

My week's been... eventful. But overall I think it's been good - any progress is still progress no matter how small. Getting out more has definitely helped me feel a little less isolated than I normally do.

@Bee - Gosh, its terrible that it crashed well think of it this way, new week new start right but I'm glad you got through ur english exam 🙂

Amazing moments? When I walked out my English exam knowing I had just written my first full essay without help! 🙂
What about you guys?
For the first time in a long time I think my week's actually been a little more up than down... I've managed to get out of the house almost every day and put myself through situations that normally cause a lot of stress (I went to a market yesterday - normally I choose to avoid crowds but I went and it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be) oh, and I went to the beach too! 🙂 It was 10 degrees though, but that doesn't matter. 😛
It's kind of exhausting though, being out and about. I guess I'm just not used to it.
I'm really glad to hear you've had more of an 'up' week. Can you think of any things that have made it easier to do some of these hard things?
I find that when I'm feeling good, it's a really good opportunity to reflect on that type of thing, and write it down so I can refer to it when I'm not feeling so good.
I guess the support from my family/friends/psych. They're my backbone through all of this 🙂
And I know that when I do something; take a step in the right direction, my confidence goes up, which in turn motivates me to do more things. And so on and so on.
Even though it can be hard to do when things aren't going so good, just focusing on the positives is important, even just little things. I've found that's one of the biggest things that's helped me so far. 🙂
Took me a little while before but yep I have, and I hope to make good use of it in the future. 🙂 Yay for positivity! 😛
My week has been tumultulous!
I had a job interview last week and was sick late last week (maybe due to anxiety!). Currently waiting to hear back (early this week apparently).
Highlight... Hmm... That's hard... I don't really know. My brother, his girlfriend and his best mate came over for dinner last night so that was nice. 🙂

My week was pretty good. I felt like I got a bit of a start of some uni work, which was good. I also quit my job on Friday which I was worried about, but it's such a relief having done it!
Highlight was probably going out to breakfast with my mum, sister, aunty and cousin on Sunday, and also getting copies of super-pro looking photos of some of the catering I did for a 21st recently 🙂
