Everyone is creative, right?
To me being creative is being artistic, musical; it is seeing things in an innovative and original way. By that definition I am not creative, in fact I was once asked not to display my year eight art because my painting was ‘too hard to understand’. Just so you know we had to draw something that made us happy- I painted a canvas blue and said ‘water’ made me happy, I thought A+ for effort they thought not!
Anyway, high school grudges aside people use the word creative in relation to me in… creative ways, such as “what a creative car park!” or “that’s a creative way of cooking pasta”. Most of the time I think they might be making fun of my obscure way of getting things done, but may I remind you they are the ones who used the word “creative” not me. I am jealous of anyone who can draw more than a lop sided love heart and a daisy flower. I wish when I got bored I could just start drawing, or playing an instrument…
But can creativity be more than just the ability to paint or play an instrument? I believe some people express creativity through their energy or in the way they think and behave, and by that definition maybe we can all be creative.

I know firsthand that @SJG is creative in the most obvious sense; she has mentioned it on the forums before and I have seen her work, in fact I own a piece. So on Monday join myself and @SJG to see how one very uncreative person (myself) and one very creative person @SJG, navigate the world of creativity.
Whether you can draw, cook, organise well, tell jokes, write well, or even park your car well, Join us on Monday at 8pm.

Next question!!
If you are feeling uninspired, blocked or in a creative rut, what's one thing you could do to try and bring some creativity back into your life? (Check out what this RO.com user did!!) Even in the most creative ways?

I just pick a much loved franchise, X-Men, A:TLA, Avengers, Justice League, so on, make myself a character and enjoy! It is so much fun, I just wish I had more room.
I need my sleep! Although I probably get too much of it (beware of that by the way, in all seriousness. If you get too much sleep, more than 8 hours it's almost as bad, or just as bad, as getting less than 7 hours of sleep a night.)
But yeah... enjoy your creative minds and let yourself flourish like baby seal learning to swim! Don't force yourself against those currents, move with them and to where ever they may take you! There will always be a protective eye to watch over you and help you if you need it

Me and my analogies... or metaphors. I guess that's my creative charm! Taking a situation and finding the most possibly unrelated thing and making it relate-able!
Love you all and thanks for tonight!

@N1ghtW1ng 🙂 I like the metaphors! I get like 9-10 hours a night! Which is only since starting meds this year...before it was between 1-6 hours a night.
ANYWAY...SLEEP WELLL!
well i do!

Go for a walk, look up stuff on the internet, listen to lyric-less music.

PINTEREST!! I get sooooo much inspiration from there, constantly adapting and re-working ideas to suit my needs. I make a lot of candles and bath melts etc for when I want to indulge!!! Candles are a guilty pleasure of mine.
Also I do creative challenges often, like drawing and creative writing etc. It gets the juices flowing.
@stonepixie for sure the receptionist!

I do drawing daily as a way to bring creativity into my life on a daily basis (I have one of the kikki K 365 day journals that I do it in). I also like taking photos of interesting things when I'm out as a way to be creative too, and it's quite quick and easy to do these days with pretty much all smart phones and iPods having cameras 🙂
@delicatedreamer cute...I like the 365 day journal, that's a neat idea.
