Re: Fun free activities

Hi everyone, I want to think of some fun, free or very cheap things I can do as self-care instead of buying things to try (and fail) to make myself feel better.

Me: I feel bad/sad/anxious

Me: *Spends money on things I don't need to try and fix these feelings*

My bank account: *Screams*

Because self-care shouldn't cost anything!

I'm gonna start the list

1. Go for a walk, listen to the birds and soak up some sunshine.

2. Rearrange your room so it feels like a fresh start.

3. Write down three things you're grateful for that day.

Re: Fun free activities

I think this is a great idea for a thread @MisoBear!

I recently discovered some sites where you can listen to free audiobooks or podcasts, such as this one. I love listening to them when I want to chill out, especially before bed.
Another thing I like to do if I need a distraction is playing a free online game. There are lots of browser-based games, such as on .io ones for example.

I'll try to come up with some more ideas. Smiley Happy

Re: Fun free activities

Ooh, I'm not super into games tbh but I love audiobooks and podcasts so I'll check it out!

I thought of another one:

Make a DIY face or hair mask from things you have in your cupboard! I've made one with honey, cinnamon and nutmeg before and it was great AND I didn't have to spend any money to feel bougie!

Re: Fun free activities

-Have a cup of tea outside
-read a book
-colouring in or drawing
-im not sure if you have pets but if you do you could teach them a trick or play with them
-watch a movie
-listen to some music, if your feeling energetic you could even dance around the house
