(late reply but) my favourite books are anything by Alice Oseman!! Shes such a great author and illustrator, and does some novels and also graphic novels. Her books touch on mental health a lot, and also focus on characters in the LGBT+ community, along with being focused on characters that come from a diverse range of ethnicity's.
