Re: My family kinda hates me and I'm starting to hate me too
@Tiny_leaf That's actually pretty scary! I'm a bit concerned about all these people bringing in their babies to see them too to 'treat' things like reflux and colic with spinal manipulations. I know a lot of chiropractors aren't like this though.
Same! I think he was concerned that the pain could be a sign that something is happening to my cornea. But when my cornea was damaged the first time, I had no pain at all and just found out by chance. He said something like, 'Seeing as you're back again so soon after the your last appointment, it means that something must be wrong'. I've heard this is a 'general rule' for ophthalmologists in the past. I think I will have to discuss the problem more with the new ophthalmologist because he's more specialised in this area.

@WheresMySquishy naaarrrggghhh you can't even treat reflux with spinal adjustments....!! Seriously avoid those chiropractors like the plague..
And that's a much better rule than "if in doubt, they're faking it" which I've encountered a few times...

@Tiny_leaf it can be scary to think of what some medical professionals may be doing! I love the dog pictures you shared earlier in your thread, they are so adorable!

Re: My family kinda hates me and I'm starting to hate me too
Thanks for asking, @Jay-RO! I have been trying the new eye drops and treatment regime the ophthalmologist put me on. I think it's a bit too early to see if it will end up being beneficial. The drops are a bit harder for me to use compared to what I've tried before but they don't seem to irritate my eyes as much as other eye drops either. I've heard that the new ophthalmologist is really good. He treated one of my family members with the same kind of problem (nothing really helped significantly though, which isn't anyone's fault). I hope he'll be able to answer some of my questions and have more insight into the problem. I hope you're doing well yourself!

Re: My family kinda hates me and I'm starting to hate me too
@Tiny_leaf I think it's a good sign that my other ophthalmologist was willing to refer me on. I've found that in ophthalmology, different doctors specialise in different things. The new one would be my third ophthalmologist because my pediatric one referred me to my current one when I got older. I find it crazy how in my experience, ophthalmologists are generally happy for you to see their colleagues and refer on when they don't know what to do or need a second opinion from someone more experienced. They don't take seeing another doctor personally and all seem to get along with each other. But with other people I've seen, they have discouraged us from contacting other doctors for advice and second opinions. I'm not sure why. Isn't it better to be safe than sorry? I think they tend to put their own feelings before the health of their patients. I was reading comments from doctors online and one said 'I don't believe in second opinions. I would rather have two first opinions'. I think this is a good idea too because it shows that the doctors are able to communicate with each other so that you can have more confidence about the diagnosis.

Re: My family kinda hates me and I'm starting to hate me too
@WheresMySquishy that sounds great. My doctors have always been a little reluctant to pass me on to anyone in the same field...
Though occasionally they'll refer me to someone else when I get too annoying, which I guess also works?

Re: My family kinda hates me and I'm starting to hate me too
This doggy is adorable! :-)
Well, my point is that parents have a huge influence on their kids and if you think they hate you, then you should go together to a family psychologist and find out the reason for such feelings and relationships. I hope you can solve your problem and wish you good luck. Well, I think it's very important to repair your relationship with your parents because otherwise, it will interfere with your enjoyment of life. Of course, I know this from personal experience. To be honest, I am very glad that I turned to the doctors on time, because they solved our family problems. And now I can say that I am really happy.
