TW: My Safety Plan - To keep myself accountable.
So I'm starting this thread (I hope that's OK ) for myself to keep myself accountable this afternoon and onwards in keeping safe from SH especially tonight.
So I've drafted up a safety plan for myself this evening and I'm going to try my absolute hardest to stick to it. Here it is:
STEP 1: My warning signs:
- Withdrawing from family/friends.
- Anxiety/Panic Attacks
- Feeling overwhelmed which can escalate to the following
- Unable to fall asleep/Night terrors
- No appetite and not wanting to eat (edited)
STEP 2: My reasons to live
- My sister
- ReachOut
- Some of my closest friends
- Netball
- Swimming
- Travelling across Europe
- KHL counsellor
STEP 3: Make my environment safe
- Remove or get rid of anything that could be used to harm myself
- Avoid people who upset me
- Stay with someone and don't be alone in a room
STEP 4: Things I can do by myself
- Go for a walk outside
- Play with Willow & Oscar (Puppas
)
- Watch a favourite film, YouTube clip or TV show
- Listen to Self-Love playlist
- Practice relaxation techniques like breathing exercises, mindfulness and meditation
- Take some time out to treat myself to a small thing I usually enjoy
STEP 5: Friends and family I can talk to
- My mum
- My Psychologist
- One of my friends (possibly...)
- ReachOut
STEP 6: Professional support
- Lifeline 13 11 14
- Kids Helpline - Webchat or Phone
- My Psychologist
And, yeah. I think that's about it
@litgym here it is

Re: My Safety Plan - To keep myself accountable.
ahhh it’s so good ! are you happy with it ?
not sure if you are still struggling with making your environment safe; so remove anything to harm yourselve like you’ve mentioned, avoid triggers if possible and even just being with one of your pups is a good way to stay safe
i love everything ! im going to put in some links soon of funny/cheering things i find uplifting when i feel down
