Re: This a post
hmm...I have something a little similar with my right eye where it kinda takes a moment for it to adjust and re-focus whenever I switch from staring at things far away (e.g. outside of arm's reach), to something more up close, like a book I'm reading. In my case, it's mostly harmless since it's just because my right eye is usually farsight-dominant to compensate for my left eye's shortsightedness. When I'm driving, I'm mostly using my right eye to look at far away stuff, whereas my left eye does most of the heavy lifting for close-up stuff, like reading, working on the computer, etc. It takes a moment for my right eye to adjust if I try to force it to look at something up close by shutting my left eye and waving a finger in front of my face, because that's just not quite what it's used to doing, even though it technically has perfect vision. Kind of like a camera, taking a moment to refocus its lens. Maybe something similar is happening with you?
In any case, it still sounds like a case for the specialist - hopefully you hear back from them soon.
