We have two cats, who were originally rescue kittens. They are now indoor only, ridiculously pampered, and if I’m honest one probably needs to go on a diet 😂 they had a hard start to life but are living the dream now!

@Bananatime04  I am literally squeeing out loud over Eddie, his little face is so gorgeous! It sounds like the two of you have such a beautiful relationship, there's something so pure and special about the love a dog has for its owner. 

@Ronan-RO  your rescue doggos are adorable! Looks like they are living their best life now! Rescue dogs are so special. 

@xXLexi_Lou122Xx  I LOVE Nala!! Such wonderful timing for you and your family to get such a beautiful new member. I don't know about you but I am finding so much comfort in our cats at the moment - they are also highly entertaining right now because they are totally weirded out by having all of us at home so often when they used to have the run of the house at least 3 days a week before! 

@Tiny_leaf  I can't wait to see photos! 

These GIFs sum up the two aspects of our cats - on one hand, they like to think they are people and rule our home. On the other hand, they are ridiculous creatures sometimes especially when they get the zoomies/ have play fights!

This is my dog Oscar:

He is such an energetic boy that loves his squeaky ball toys! He is 14 this year so he's been a really big part of my life growing up. I love how excited he is to see me every day when I come home. Whether I have a good day, or a bad day, he is always there  He brings so much love, life and warmth to my home

I love this thread! I always love seeing people gush over their pets, and seeing pictures. Our relationships with animals can be so special.

Yes! My own pet is Rusty!  


I also live with my family's pets, Cyrus the mini poodle


and Ruby (I don't have any pictures of her on me at the moment, she's mean to Rusty so she stays away from me ahah but she's a huge red cat!).

2. What is your dream pet?
I'd love a big dog of my own, I don't think I'd ever be able to live alone without the comfort of having a big dog who could protect me if need be.  I'd also love to own a snake, or a bearded dragon again.

4. Tell us why your pet is important to you!
Where do I start?! Having a pet of my own is very, very important to me. Just having someone there who cares about me and is in tune with my feelings (even if it's an animal) means so much. It motivates me to take care of myself, having to take care of another living being. It's so special the connection we share! Every single night Rusty is in full play mode because he sleeps all day, but the moment I turn the light off to go to sleep he stops being a nuisance and comes and lies down on my chest and goes to sleep . I honestly think we have similar personalities -- I got him as a rescued feral kitten, and when we first met he hid under the bed all day. My mum didn't think it'd be a good idea to get him, but something about him made me want him, so I adopted him anyway. About 6 months later, that shy little kitty is nowhere to be seen! He is the boss of the household and is always out exploring! I couldn't be more proud of him.

Hey guys,

Here are my two doggies.  They are named Rocky and Fifi.  Maybe you can guess which one is Rocky but as you can see, he loves stealing Fifi's bed!

They are rescue dogs and provide so much unconditional love.  No matter how tired I am when I get home, they come running with excitement.  It really puts a smile on my face :).

@Ronan-RO so good to see some rescue dogs on here, they look like good mates though who keep each other company!

Animals are super important to me - they have the ability to lift my mood instantly. I don't have a pet right now but have been looking into getting one very very soon - can't wait to share a pic once I have one. My dream pet is a Whippet, Labrador or Boxer! 

At the moment I get my dog fix when I visit my family. When I was living back home my brothers dog and I were best friends. He slept in my bed, sat on my lap while I ate and I taught him how to howl at me when I said "I love you" to him.

Pets are so healing in my opinion. They love you unconditionally, make you laugh, comfort you when your sad and keep you company.  

@Bre-RO ooo, can I ask, what does a Whippet look like? They sound like an interesting pet!

My computer's broken and I can't figure out how to get pictures here with my phone..

But I have two cats and 16 fish. I love them all.

My cats can be very cuddly sometimes, especially my fluffy girl. They get many cuddles when I'm upset.

My fish are all very cute. I gave them some new plants today, they're going wild playing in and eating it.

Also they keep trying to eat my fingers, but they're too tiny, so they just kinda bump into my finger repeatedly. I love them even when they think they're piranhas.

@Tiny_leaf  piranha wanna-bes' sound hilarious! What do fish look like when they get excited at something new?

@Tay100 they just swim around it really frantically and try to eat it.
