Tips to consider while job hunting
Hi guys! Here are some tips I found to be very useful while job hunting.
1. Put yourself out there! If you are like me then it can be very difficult to find the confidence to email people constantly and attend job fairs, but remember employers are looking for enthusiastic people and sometimes this can make up for experience.
2. Updating your Profile! Updating your LinkedIn profile and resume and making it look professional can really help in the long-run, and makes your experience look a lot more desirable to employers.
3. And lastly, stay positive and persistent! I'm sure we have all experienced rejections and it can get us down, but remember there is always light at the end of the tunnel!

I agree with everything you have said! The last few jobs I have had said that I was an attractive candidate because I showed great enthusiasm for the work. So it is very important to just show up and be passionate about the job/what the company stands for. I also like your point about being persistent - resilience is key for job hunting as it has become so competitive so staying optimistic is vital!

I also see a lot of recruiters on TikTok talking about how it's also a good idea to ask questions at the end of interviews to make you seem more interested or invested in the job, when they ask if you have any questions.
I've seen examples such as, "Why did the last person in this job role leave the position?" "What room for advancement is available for this role?" "What would poeple in this role consider the best and worst things about this role?" Etc...
Thank you so much for these amazing tips @Mulberry_Jay 👍 It is definitely hard to find a job these days which can really affect our self- esteem and confidence, but like you said it is important to keep trying and know that so many people are in the same situation as you are! I have also found that joining certain facebook groups can also give you ideas about where to apply, so definitely worthwhile to look out for those related to your field.
