hi @Akinna

Being diagnosed with a condition can be confronting and also bring up alot of other emotions as well as we try to learn more and accept it.

One suggestion i actually have is to speak to whoever it was that diagnosed you. i realise in your initial post that you thought borderline personality disorder (which i do have and happy to talk about if you have questions) but seeing as youve done quite abit of research on Bipolar disorder and you dont feel it 'fits' you sometimes its good to ask the psychiatrist (or whomever) about it. they can share thier insight as to why they have diagnosed you with that. Youve said you dont think you have had any hyper or hypomania events so this would be worth discussing with them, perhaps they can point out a few examples of what they were.

do you think you would feel comfortable in discussing this with them? i know it can be hard as it could seem confronting but there really is no harm in discussing it.
