Hey @Trent2354 I'm happy to hear that your psych has been suggesting similar things! I ended up doing 21 days of gratitude and it really did take that long for it to start clicking in my brain. It definitely feels very forced but hopefully it will become a bit more of an automatic suggestion. And maybe eventually you won't need it as badly 🙂 

 

I'm glad you feel like things are growing. The reason I wanted to ask was whether your bad feelings could be towards feeling like nothing positive has come out of this yet, but you sound confident that it has.

 

It sounds like the memories of the pain and betrayal in the past are what make you find yourself getting upset, not what is happening in the present which makes you feel more optimistic? You said that a lot of the time these feelings come up when you are feeling particularly close to her. Is there a word you could use to describe where these feelings come from? Like jealousy or mistrust or anger, or hurt?
