Hi @Sadboy

We are so glad to hear that you have found talking this out to be quite helpful. You are welcome to share here, anytime you need to. It sounds like you have thought this through and have your reasons for holding off for now. It does make it especially difficult, seeing as they are in a relationship. Do you think if they were single that your response would be different? Do you think you will be able to hang out with them as a friend while keeping your feelings separate?

In regards to recommendations, although it is difficult, I would try to not think about things too much as you still want to appear like yourself and for things to be natural. I also think being realistic about the situation might help - for example, you are unable to share your feelings right now, so what are some elements of the friendship that you appreciate? If these don't seem to be working, you can always choose to keep yourself busy by focusing on your other friendships and hobbies. If you feel like ongoing support might be helpful, you could also reach out to your GP to see what services are available in your area. Sometimes these things can take a bigger toll than you think! 💖
