Hi @shruddles
Thank you for sharing with us. Don't apologise for venting! That's what this forum is here for 🙂
Loneliness is honestly one of the worst feelings because like you said, you can get to a point of feeling completely stuck and it can feel like the world is turning and you're just there watching. I can feel your frustration and not being able to form the connections that you want. It may be hard to believe now, but there are people out there for you and I believe that you won't stay lonely forever. I've been in your place before (many times) and the people that would make my life less lonely came at the most unexpected times. As an introvert, making friends has always felt impossible to me, but I've found that putting yourself in the right situations can make it a lot easier. I understand what you're saying that it's hard to form a good connection with someone. Especially because often the more sociable people we want to be friends with already have enough friends and might not want to be friends with us. But through more sociable people I have met others that I clicked with better. For some of us, making friends takes a lot of effort. I know I have joined countless clubs and gone to countless events before I was able to find like-minded people to be friends with.
Just know that we hear you and are always here to listen 🙂
