It comes to my attentiont that I also have similar concerns as yourself!
What I did myself, is directly call the school's course supervisor to book a phone appointment with them to get more information from them, ask them if there are any students studying the course that I am interest in that I could perhaps speak to, to gain more information on the course itself in addition to getting them to email me with a whole detailed curricullum and career outline for the course!😄
I think it takes experience to know whether you enjoy it or not, whilst you are doing the IT courses, perhaps you could do some searching for professionals in the field that you could reach out to and email directly to gain a proper understanding of the field and what it requires of you.😊
