Its great you're enjoying Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen has some great classics out there to read. I 100% agree with you on the struggles that come with reading older literature, it makes it a bit hard to keep the story flowing at times I feel. If you want to check out some more classics I'd recommend the Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, it's a bit of a mystery book so I think you'd quite like it but again it has some difficult older language in it.
Otherwise I highly recommend the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Mark Haddon, it's a mystery/crime fiction/drama and is absolutely amazing! I have read the slient patient before and I think its even better than that, it's one of them books you can read over and over again and not get tired of
