Hi @frogonthelake I read pride and prejudice a few years ago and I completely relate to the struggle where I had to read the same sentences twice and I had to look up words to get their definitions too. It makes it really satisfying once you finish it though 🙂
I've also read the silent patient and I loved it!
For more classic thriller/psych fiction I'd recommend 1984 or the picture of dorian grey.
I've never seen the movie so I don't know if that makes a difference but I really liked the Bird Box novel I found it super scary and engaging to read.
Another psychological fiction gem I really liked is Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine.
