Hi @lamplight86 welcome to ReachOut and thank you for sharing it takes a lot of courage It sounds like you are feeling really confused as you mentioned you've had a really supportive childhood but are feeling angry. I'm wondering if you have spoken to a counsellor about how you've been feeling? Do you currently have any supports at home? I've just had to edit some content to ensure they are within our Community Guidelines. Just letting you know I am also going to send you an email so please keep a look out.

Hi @Bananatime04 you are not a waste of time There's no need to be sorry, it happens from time to time in terms of having to edit some content. You are reaching out for support which is the main thing and it takes so much courage to ask for help You are stronger than you realise. Are you okay to contact BeyondBlue today at 3pm?

Hi @Bananatime04 it sounds like you're in a really dark place and I'm glad you feel you are able to talk about your feelings on ReachOut. I'm certain this wasn't your intention but I needed to edit the post as we don't want to encourage other people to self-harm. I trust that you can keep to thinking about what you need today to stay safe. A good distraction technique is going to our games thread and participating in some of the activities on there posted by our members before you contact a helpline later this afternoon

That's a hard one @annabethxchase Is there any other helpline you are comfortable contacting if you need it like KHL or eHeadspace? Drawing sounds like a great way to spend the day Just saw the pic of your pups, they are so cute!

Hi @Bananatime04 good on you for reaching out to eheadspace last night. Could you try them again today? Please don't feel bad, I'm sure they would understand. That's really great to hear that you made a safety plan last night, would you be willing to share some things on your plan that you could try today? Are you able to keep safe right now?

Hi @annabethxchase that sounds really difficult Could you try contacting Lifeline or SCBS now? What are some things from your Safety Plan you could do today as part of self-care and keeping yourself safe?

Hi @Bananatime04 sounds like you are really struggling right now, good on you for reaching out to us It's great that you are trying to see someone in person, that's a really important step in getting support. In the meantime, I highly encourage you to contact eHeadspace or Lifeline. I know you mentioned yesterday you contacted someone else previously and they said it's not good to double up, was that also through KHL? Perhaps you could try one of these helplines and explain your situation, they are there to support you during a time of crisis, particularly if you are unable to see someone until Feb. Have you also tried some of those self-care strategies and distraction techniques that were suggested? We're here for you

Hi @maikurovo thanks for reaching out. I think the link @keezeik provided is a good point of reference in terms of age of consent, other than that we are unable to provide any legal advice unfortunately. Just letting you know I am also going to send you an email so please keep a look out.

Hi @Blurryphaced thank you for sharing with us, it sounds like you've been going through a difficult time I'm wondering if you've spoken to a counsellor about this before? I find that sometimes when I overthink things, it's really good to be able to talk to someone to be able to get another perspective or to simply to have them as a sounding board. You also mentioned self-harm and suicidal thoughts, I would encourage contacting Kids Helpline or Lifeline for some support. Are you able to keep yourself safe today? We're here for you

@Bananatime04 ahhh that's fair enough. Could you try contacting eHeadspace in the meantime? They also have phone or webchat support available. I know it's not your KHL Counsellor but you might find that being able to chat to someone will be the thing that helps you to feel a bit better today

@Bananatime04 I can appreciate that would be hard for you not being able to talk to your KHL Counsellor. I'm wondering what strategies your Counsellor has or may have suggested for you previously? Did you both come up with some things together as part of self-care particularly for the time that they are away?

We're here for you @Bananatime04 As @litgym mentioned a safety plan is coming up with ways to keep ourselves safe when we're struggling. Self-care strategies could be getting enough sleep, meditation, breathing exercises or calling a helpline for some support. Along with that are distraction techniques which are useful particularly when our thoughts become too much. Some of these might be journaling and writing down our thoughts, listening to music, calling a friend, watching a movie etc. I'm wondering what are some things you have tried that have worked for you previously when you've had a tough day?
