@musicfan_xo Sorry that you felt uncomfortable by someone's question, it is completely healthy to have your own personal boundaries, and I am happy that you knew when to hold them up and do what was going to help you. How are you feeling today?

Hey @Dream_State, best wishes to you for 2021! It can be extremely difficult finding comfortability within your own skin, especially within your teenage years. I know the feeling of watching everyone around you experimenting with their own images and feeling like you need to fit within that category, but truth is that it is an impossible expectation on yourself! Your scars are a massive milestone within your life, and becoming comfortable within them is really important. I wonder if there is anything that has been said to you about wearing a one piece, or whether this is your own self reflection? As a young adult myself, I have become so comfortable with the idea of a one piece purely due to comfort, and there are so many gorgeous ones you can get these days that remove the stereotype of one pieces! Would looking around for a nice/fashionable one make you more comfortable? Also, I wanted to just link in a body image articles here that I think could really benefit your everyday living. Be BOLD and BEAUTIFUL sweetheart!

@Saltwaterdreamtime I love this idea! Unfortunately my house is quite small living with my family, and I find it so hard to get time in for meditation/down time/stretching due to the limited space but you're "quiet comfy spot" sounds absolutely perfect!! I think it's a perfect goal to have for your week, and to even put myself to the test I am going to motivate myself to create something small for me to do it alongside you! Hopefully you are able to receive some peace from this daily ritual

@musicfan_xo I can understand the difficulty with parents being involved in the details of your life..I love my parents loads and they are super supportive, but there is always that weirdness that comes with them knowing and sometimes that makes it harder to reach out to them. For what it's worth I think you're doing a good job with it, a lot of people exclude their parents from the details, but it's now something you can always have as support. Do you speak to your online friends often? Is this through gaming or something different

Hey @musicfan_xo, sorry that you're not feeling the best today, I am wondering how the appointment with your GP went today? You said you rescheduled the appointment with the new GP, is that happening tomorrow or sometime this week? Loneliness is really difficult to grasp a hold of, I know when I am going through stages of it that I can often find it hard to motivate myself to be with others, but sometimes being by yourself and doing something you enjoy can be your best way of pulling out of it. Have you planned anything nice for yourself today?

Hi @Macaria I am sorry to hear that this past week has not run as smoothly as you had hoped for! I can completely understand how hopeless an injury can make you feel, especially when it impacts the things you love to do most! Did you receive any information from the hospital about your recovery and any necessary processes you will need to take for the healing? I wonder if you would be able to ask your friends if you can be apart of the filming/editing process, rather than the dancing? This could make you feel apart of the project too, especially if you were looking forward to it Speedy Recovery!

@A_Friend They sound like great and achievable goals! Mine are actually somewhat similar! Fitness is a big part of my life so really wanting to focus on being the healthiest version of me. Plus taking more time to sit and talk/do things with family is so important when you get older! Have you made any plans of how you are going to kickstart them off?

@Saltwaterdreamtime I am sorry that you weren't provided the chance to speak out to someone when you were needing it most. I know how difficult contacting services can be during this time, but I also know the impact it would be having on people seeking for it, like yourself. You were incredibly strong and resilient for stepping up and making the call, and sometimes it doesn't always go the right way. I have been reading your three positives daily, and observed that you maintaining your positivity and continuing doing things that help you and make you happy, so I want to condemn you for that. It is so good to hear that you are doing better today, I am wondering if you ended up getting in contact with any services for support, or had spoken to anyone else that may have helped you stay grounded The team and community here are very proud of your resilience.

Hey @lemurien, it is awesome that you received some extra support from headspace and your GP, and never think you're options are limited based on your level of need, because everybody has difficult experiences, and they are all as important as each other. I am really happy to hear you dived into some self care, especially with your partner, I think that is a huge positive for not only yourself, but your relationship! Returning home would have been a massive transformation in how you were feeling, often we can be caught up in overwhelm and it's hard to find time for your mind to breathe, but that is perfectly okay and normal, and I am sure your family would understand as they were going through the same with one another by the sounds of it. Have you spoken to your family since you have left? I wonder if it would be a good idea to make a list of all the positives and nice things you did with them while you were away or things you wish you got a chance to do? It could be nice to have a reason to return with something and something to look forward to. I hope you and your family are safe during the covid changes! Family are always, even if they can somethings get under your nerves haha

@lemurien It is so great to hear that the process has been flowing really nicely for you and that your experience with headspace has been nothing but positive! I know it can sometimes be quite confronting when you first get in contact with these services, but they are trained and specialised to make the journey for you a little less difficult! I love that you're interested in Art therapy, it is an incredible experience and completely grounding. You don't even have to be good at it haha! I am really glad you have received the support you need from here and outside of the forums. It is important to know that the forums are always available for support, small or big, so don't be shy, as we would love to hear about your journey along the way

It can be such a mental challenge during, but the reward is something else entirely! It is also great to see you found positives within your conversation, sometimes things are best said out loud Have a lovely afternoon!

@A_Friend Ensuring we focus on making the best of what we have and can control is extremely important when there is so many waves of uncertainty. Taking for yourself and making progress is what we owe ourselves as humans, so living life to the fullest potential is our duty even through difficult times. Did you have any resources or goals you have made to take care of yourself diving into the year?

Hey @Jardin, it is so nice to hear that things are running smoothly for you, I can sense a massive growth in your confidence! Your new job sounds like it is going really well, which is awesome! It can be very scary sometimes stepping into a new role, especially one you're not used to. I think it would be a really nice separation and experience to take on outside of uni! It is completely fine to have not gone and received a referral yet, but ensuring you maintain your reflection on your mental health is important, but I think you have that under control for now which is great! Awesome news about the move, and it seems like you're quite excited for the change! How long have you been living out in the country for? Is there anything you miss the most from living in the city that you can't wait to get back to doing

What are you looking forward to this year (big or small)? I am looking forward to it being my last year in my university degree, kicking some great marks and leaving with a bang haha! What's something new you want to try this year? Or something you would like to change? I really want to make the effort to start watching some history documentaries! I feel like I have missed so much learning about my history through my life so I have made a goal to watch 1 new documentary a month What's your favourite thing to do in summer? BEACH, SWIM, FRIENDS What are your predictions for the year? They can be as realistic or silly as you want? haha it is a hard prediction to make with everything going on, but for my world, I predict to focus on my self care, savings, family time and uni! The rest of the world can wait Wishing you all a happy and safe new year!

Hi @Rosemmbles, Your Sagittarius personality sounds completely pure! Optimistic and Honest, love it. I'm sorry you've reached this stage of uncertainty and yearning for something more, believe me as a girl I know the feeling too. It is so normal to go through these stages, I did myself and can relate to the high school faze a whole lot, but I do want to point out that your desire for more is really awesome and time will bring that forth to you. I loved some of @clarii3105 ideas, reaching out to groups with likeminded people can be a massive transformation for you. Some of the best people I have met have been through putting myself out there, whether it has been at work, or in social settings/groups. You won't always connect with some, and that's cool, but stay open minded and confident and they will come. Based off your last question, I love being active with my female friends, I have a few different groups depending on interests. Some are my exercise buddies, some are my adventure buddies (hiking through gorgeous places, brush and sip painting, holidaying, and live music) and then there is my chit chat ones (coffee and dinners). I highly urge you to throw yourself out to the world, sometimes you don't just get 1 friend that likes what you do, but a variety

@Speedy01 I am really happy to hear you are receiving some support from your university counsellor, I can imagine the fear you might feel when going deeper into those conversations, but it takes a lot of courage to make that step, so I am really proud of you. It's completely okay to lack motivation in some areas that you may have been interested in, it all comes with time and growth. I think you should be really proud of yourself for stepping out of your comfort zone and regaining your strength to do outdoor activities! Inviting your friends along is a great idea, it can become something fun I think it's amazing that you're able to notice how big of a step you have made, and you have completely done that with your own strength
