What are some foods which help boost your mood? Anything sweet when craving snacks or when I'm hungry something nutritious and filling! Do you have any simple recipes which are great for when time/motivation are running low? Baked oats Protein smoothie Fruit salad Eggs on toast Are there any new foods you'd like to try? Why not pick up something different next time you're at the supermarket! hmmm... not too sure of new foods I'd like to try but I will pick up a different ice cream flavour next time I go to the shops haha :D

@Tay100 Sorry for the delayed response, I haven't found much besides this forum as most things seem to be suspended until further notice. It sucks because I wanted to do some volunteering this year before masters but what can we do, on the bright side we have this forum :)

Hey, @Snowy_Triangle It's completely normal to feel an increased sense of loneliness during this time, especially for you guys in Melbourne! I commend you for staying strong and you will get through this!! In the meantime to keep yourself busy and to take your mind off things, is there any at-home activities or crafty hobbies that you like or might want to try? Maybe online painting tutorials, arts & crafts, designing/ altering clothing, gaming, exploring some new book series/TV series... etc.. You might be able to find some online free courses as well, especially as a Uni student. It would be hard right now because human interaction is different from doing things by yourself and we are social creatures but keeping yourself busy might help pass the lockdown time quicker. There might be some online chats/clubs you can access through your Uni, I'm pretty sure my Uni has posted some things like that! :) I'm hoping you guys in Melbourne come out of lockdown soon, sending love from Sydney!!

What's your favourite type of bird? Kiwi bird - As I'm half New Zealand :P Do you ever wish you could fly? Why/why not? Yes definitely!! Would be able to skip traffic, go anywhere I want, can watch what's going on below me. Flying looks peaceful. Are you an early bird or a night owl? Night owl :D Why do you think the chicken crossed the road? They thought it was an egg-cellent idea! Which came first - the chicken or the egg? Interesting debate, still not sure haha Bonus point: Post your favourite bird gif!

I've learnt to never be afraid to ask for help and ask if others if they need help. People that you can trust will appreciate when you're being open and honest with them. It is easy to become wrapped up in our own personal issues and busy life schedules that we forget to check on others when they seem fine and we forget to seek help for ourselves. A simple but effective way to provide support to those asking for help is talking about self-care! Suggesting ideas and having a discussion on self-care tips can have a long-term positive impact on people! I think it is also important to remember that if you don't feel like you are equipped enough to provide support to someone who is asking for help, thank them for trusting you and don't shut them off completely. Refer them on to someone who can help because a big obstacle to seeking help is being rejected, ignored and feeling judged. It can be professional help or a friend/ family member with more experience that may be able to help and if the person gives you permission to seek help from another person. It is all about getting the conversation started and making sure no one gets left behind!

1. What's something that doesn't take a lot of time, but that makes you feel better? Think about your current achievements and how far you have come in your journey. Eat something delicious. Look up to the stars at night and see how peaceful it looks. Have a quick conversation with someone special. Tell your loved ones that you love them. Hug your animals. Watch a funny video. 2. Is there a small change you can make this week (or even right now!) Set yourself a short term goals. Treat yourself (my fave is ice cream or online shopping). Make plans. Make effort for people that you care about. Remember to be kind to yourself.

Breakfast oats! I eat this almost every morning! What you'll need: Ingredients 1x Banana Half Cup oats 1 teaspoon baking power 1 teaspoon vanilla essence Milk or Water or Almond milk - just enough to combine ingredients Cinnamon *PLUS* You can add anything you like, including protein powder, dried fruits, chocolate, nuts and seeds. Steps 1. Mash banana in an ovenproof baking dish (I use a round glass container that I bake in the oven without the lid) 2. Mix in half cup oats (Add more if it's not enough) 3. Add milk or water just enough so the ingredients are not dry 4. Add baking powder, cinnamon, vanilla essence & your desired ingredients 5. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 180-200 degrees, just so that the top Is golden brown Once it is done, I put melted crunchy Biscoff on top or sugar-free maple syrup!

How did you first hear about ReachOut and when did you decide to get involved on the forums as a user?I'm a Psychology student and I was searching for some volunteering opportunities to gain experience and I came across this! Due to the virus this year it has impact face-to-face volunteering, so it is good we can engage with this forum! What's your favourite post thread? I like the recipe ones, gratitude and self-care Why did you decide to become a Builder? It looks like a friendly and supportive environment and it is a good way to connect with people and provide support during Covid times especially. What do you do during the day (Study? Work? Hunt ghosts? Fight Crime? Taste cupcakes?)? I study full time and I am a youth worker. I also enjoy going to the gym. Do you have any weird hobbies (Train a rubber duck army? Teach lizards Spanish? Learn how to the master the recorder?) Not really haha I must be pretty boring! What's you're all time favourite TV show? I don't have one favourite, I think there are different TV shows for different moods, sometimes I just want to watch something that doesn't require too many brain cells to watch like reality TV and then other times I enjoy the series where you get really involved in like, Money Heist and Power!!
