Maintaining the physical and mental state of the body is very important for a productive lifestyle and achieving your own goals. However, in recent years, the level of drug addiction has begun to rise very quickly in many countries, which leads to great mental problems and, in the worst cases, to the death of a person.

Hellooooo...Today I practiced self care by laying in bed for a couple of hours with my chihuahua x jack russell doggo. It was the simple day kind of day that I needed, and my dog Lyla really enjoyed the cuddles too!!

I totally agree @ferdie22! I think it is definitely fast moving apps that are designed to keep you using the app. Before you know it, it has been hours. That makes sense about the time limits, especially if you don't have a lot on at the moment. Do you think it would help to form some kind of routine with hobbies or other activities? That way, you can have a routine for doing things that you like or want to do. It might also help with motivation and progress towards your goals too. I know if I don't have a plan for the day, I sometimes end up doing nothing for majority of the day. A lot of people rely on external validation, you definitely aren't alone. It can be such a difficult habit to kick but it is definitely possible. I have heard that is helpful to try to focus on what you enjoy about doing the work and why, as opposed to doing it to impress others. This comes back to what you said before about needing to be happy with what you have produced. I am wondering if you have thought of chatting to a professional about some of these issues that have come up for you?

This was a great chat! I've loved reading everyone's answers and experiences. :) Has anyone faced stigma about the treatment they're on? It seems like whenever I tell people about my conditions, there are always some people who try to discourage me from talking about or having the treatment that has been helping me, or something I'd like to try. Some of the comments I've heard are along the lines of: 'That's a nasty drug' 'Why would you want to mess with your body like that?' 'What you know about your treatment is wrong, so you shouldn't talk about why you're having it' (said when I was trying to explain why my doctors suggested having the treatment).

hey my name is Ben and I’ve recently joined to find support. Hope you all have a good year this year :) 1. What are you looking forward to this year (big or small)? hopefully moving to Melbourne and creating a new life with my boyfriend. 2. What's something new you want to try this year? Or something you would like to change? Decrease my use of social media and consumption of fast food. 3. What's your favourite thing to do in summer? The beach for sure! 4. What are your predictions for the year? They can be as realistic or silly as you want I’m hoping that it will be a year of abundance and celebration. Hoping to thrive and be so so so happy :)

@WheresMySquishy nice thread, I love your username and profile picture, it's adorable! I'd like to collect more things. I collect wax melts (like candles but cheaper & you use them in a warmer), because of different smells etc. I don't think I really collect anything else. Sometimes colouring books.

Hi @jakeishere, it sounds that you are in a really tough situation and I'm really sorry about that. I just wanna say that it is not always bad to stay in your comfort zone and I think it is really great for you to try to step out of it because it takes a lot courage, and don't be panic about it because stepping out of it sometimes can take a long time. And I think it is really bad that your parents cannot understand your dreams and your feelings, have you consider talking about your passion towards becoming a sport start with your parents and what they are concerning about, and consider whether there is another way that fulfils both your dream and you parents' concerns.

1. What is happiness? What does it look and feel like for you?
Happiness is a very individual thing. For me, it's a feeling and outlook of joy and It looks like, floating in the ocean, having a bath, spending time with my loved ones, looking forward to the future, going on a holiday/adventure, attending live music, receiving an online shopping order, having a nap with my puppy
2. What are some things which can cultivate happiness for you? How do these things compare to strategies which you might have come across before (e.g. being grateful, being mindful, etc.)? Have things which you thought would make you happy met your expectations?
Spending time in nature, disconnected from technology really helps me be happy. Eating well and making good choices about my health makes me happy as well - this includes taking my medication and going to therapy. These are all really practical things but practicing gratitude is something I notice makes me happy too !!
3. Does society have certain expectations when it comes to experiencing happiness? If so, how might these have impacted on you and those around you?
I think there is a strong focus on happiness, which can often be put in place of contentment - which I think it's an equally important feeling to have. It might not always be viable to be "happy" but we can work on feeling content and that is a realistic expectation to have of ourselves when we feel pressured to be happy, when in fact we aren't feeling that way.
4. How important is happiness to you? Have your views about happiness changed throughout your life? How have these attitudes affect your daily life?
To be happy is important to me, but as I mentioned in the last question I am also equally focused on just being content.
5. Can we control our feelings of happiness? Can we make other people happy? Are there times when we ever want to make ourselves or others unhappy?
Hm, this is a big question! I think to a degree we have control over ours and other peoples happiness - but there are also many external factors that influence our happiness as well. I believe it's a balance of both external and internal factors. Making other people happy is something we can do, but it's also important to not feel solely responsible for someone else happiness.
6. What are some ways we can cope with stress that arises from trying to manage our own and others experience of happiness?
Taking the pressure of oneself to ensure that you are always happy is important - it's okay to feel overwhelmed, sad and distressed. It's a normal part of the human experience and actually without those other emotions it would be very hard to recognise when we are happy/what that means to us.
