Hey ruenhonx, thanks for your support :) To be honest, I have nothing that really interests me. I have a internet addiction as a result of that. I'm going to talk to my father soon but he's usually busy so I'm wairting for him to tell me when he;'s free.

Hi Lokifish, thank you for your support. KHL hasn't been much help recently, nor has eheadspace. Smiling mind doesn't really help me, I'm more sort of a doing person. I do have a counselor at school but I'm seeing her next week. I feel as though it's too long and what can I do for now? (sorry, my hands are freezing so my typing is weird)

Hey redhead, it's great to hear you've spoken to support. I just want to share you a tip to help you understand your triggers - journalling. It's really helped me understand my triggers and myself. If you can't write when anger gets triggered (like me), use a computer to type. Sometimes the triggers can be quite surprising and normal. Remember that these triggers don't last your whole life so don't feel stupid about them. For example, my anxiety gets triggered when I visit a library as there's some books there I can't stand. Since I know what triggers them, I'm trying to figure out how to not fear those things so I won't get my anxiety triggered. Please update us and tell us how it goes :)

Hi guys, just thought it'll be nice if we can share our phobias, explain why we're afraid of them and share advice to how to combat them.
Here's a template for you guys to fill out:
PHOBIA: WHY?:
METHOD OF COMBAT: (Can be none yet if you want)
STATUS: (How are you combatting it? Or is it just at the back of your mind?
I'll post them first :) (Not so scary fears to BIG fears)
PHOBIA: Soccer. WHY?: I don't want to hurt myself.
METHOD OF COMBAT: Asking someone to teach me soccer.
STATUS: Uh...still on the sidelines. (Does this pun make sense?)
PHOBIA: Heights. WHY?: I feel all unstable on the building and my imagination goes wild with me falling and hittingn the ground. Ow.
METHOD OF COMBAT: No idea yet. Hoping to face it by climbing something high or attending a really high thrill ride.
STATUS: Back of my mind. Haven't really faced heights much recently.
PHOBIA: Preachers / talk of god WHY?: I get really scared that people try to force their beliefs on me and call me "believer of the devil" just because I don't believe in god and rant about jesus. (Not trying to offend anyone, this only applies to the really extreme people). Someone has once critisized me for recomending meditation to someone because it was witchcraft and that I should be careful.
METHOD OF COMBAT: No idea yet but may talk to counselor.
STATUS: This fear comes and goes but it's a REALLY big fear of mine.
PHOBIA: Fear of manipulation. (Also, I am slightly paranoid). WHY?: See above. I'm extremely scared to be emotionally weak. This also sides with my fear of religion.
METHOD OF COMBAT: Journaling and trying to get confidence as well as counselling.
STATUS:Another BIG fear of mine.
Just for laughs, search up:

Hi again blithe! I saw that one before I saw this reply, thanks for your response (for both) :) I don't have trouble concertrating or paying attention, it's just that my mind is usually blank. I try to think but my mind's just blank.
Let's say in a situation where someone's bullying me, my brain can't think but I can feel anger towards to person.
Or when I'm stressed/anxious, I feel it but there's not really any thoughts comming in my brain. Maybe faintly, but not that clear.

Thanks for the welcome back :) That's a great idea blithe, I sure will :) I think what helped me was doing electives where people from other classes were mixed in. Being grouped and chatting to these people made me a little less afraid. Another thing that helped was that I tried to shut up. It's really difficult to do, and I tried to take that when I kinda interupt someone or we both interupted each other as a warning to pay attention. Also, listening to other's conversations who were near me but not talking 100% directly to me was a good was to practise. Of course, I didn't listen to any private ones, nor did I stumble on any. Time was the best thing that helped me. Also, recently, my school counselor told me that stress is also due me not connecting to myself (like my thoughts is into the future/past). So, I'm currently trying to journal and spend more time livng the present and it's benefitting me.

For awhile now, I've heard about self talk and self awareness. I really want to get into it, however, I can't think. Literally.
I don't know why, but it scares me. It's been happening for awhile now, and I don't know why. I can only feel, not think.
Is this normal?

Hi guys,
I've been thinking that for more private issues, it'll be nice if we could have a option which allows us to only allow members of the forum to see.
Also, is it possible to have a option to filter out threads like these from the search engines?
It's tough letting out sensitive issues, and a little creepy to know that anon people may be viewing it and they be thinking something bad or that they're connected to the issue (e.g the bully), I can't really explain it but you get the gist.

Hi @Sophie! Sorry for such a late reply, I have been really busy lately. Thank you so much for having a look at my idea and I really look forward to the next generation of Reach Out! :)
I personally think once a week is good, just like the Monday sessions. I personally think they're very beneficial as most of the community gathers today for one day to discuss together.

hi michine and bee! welcome :) the only time i ever felt pressured was when the lady read the bible to me. it was freaky. leo, theres been some talk going around that the bible actually never mentions gay as a sin. you might be interested in looking at that up :) nightwing brings a really good point. i have rarely heard anything about religion doing good (rare cases like that pope whom hugged a msn) until today.

Good question! When another speaks of religion as though it is a fact. One time i suggested someone who had stress to mediatate, and a believer was horrified and told me that it was dangerous, it was a witchcraft and that i should be careful. i just let it be as it was his opinion. My country still doesnt allow same sex marriage. pissed about that but im too young to do anything much yet. my school has a group dedicated to gender equality but to be honest, all we do in the group is eat and chat. we dont really learn anything and its really confusing as the teacher doesnt tell us what will hapen in the group

thanks nightwing, makes so much more sense now :} so i guess in a way its connecting to myself....hmm. self awareness would be another one, which connects with mediation nicely.

personally, i think no. child should grow up in a neutruel environment where they can choose instead of parents putting their beliefs on them. i do not believe children should be seen as a adults property, but as more of a responsibility, (by property i mean that they have to follow their parents way of life) if religious schools, of course but like nightwing said, certain years should be choice, if we remove choice of religion in our public system, it discourages parents. its okay if its in high school, but certainly not below. kids believe everything theyre told whilst teens can decide with common sense. i hope im making sese here, hahaha @nightwing {sorry i dont type your name properly} yeah, i agree.

welcome kdsyd, great to have you aboard :} eloiserose, yeah its really frustrating when people start ivnading your personal space in the name of god. some people begin to go too deep into religion and start thinking they are god {but they wont admit that}. nightwing, i know how you feel. i was raised to believe in buddist but i personally dont believe in god. i once had a church lady read out the bible with me and a bunch of kids about how if we didnt believe in god, we go to hell. really freaked me out and after that, i got afraid of really religionous people. although im scared of religion, i am really interested to understand different religions a bit more.

wah, super slow typing too. thanks so much for the understanding and welcomes :} and yes eloiserose, thats what i was thinking! high fives to you ::} my experience of spirtuality, as well as the experience i stated before, is with my family. they are buddists but not the really deep kind who got vegetarian, we still eat meat. they believe buddist and tell us to as well, like i believe he existed, but not really that hes a god in the sky, we visit temples and pray with incense and such, my school also had religion classes if your parents wanted you to do it. i remeber when i was young, i always saw them giving gifts out so i joined in one of the classes ;D but i didnt get a gift lol.

Hi guys! please forgive my typos, im on my mobile. couldnt miss out on tonights talk! i dont really have a religion, but i see religion as faith. im more of a person who sees god as a person who can change and create things, and that we, humans are god. we change and develop things. i rely on myself usually for confidence, no one else. personally, im a little scared of religion as when i was a child, a church tried to manipulate me to their religion. if religion makes a person do good things, im happy however i dont tolerate eligion being a excuse to do things or when people use their beliefs on me. for example, i was studying for a test and someone told me not to worry as half of my test mark would be gods doing. i dont understand that guy but i still kinda want to punch him in the face for saying that.

Hi guys,
I'm just wondering if we could have a chat box section? It'll be nice to get quick replies and talk quickly. Though, I understand extra supervision is required.
I'm not sure if this has been discussed, but for some reason I do so please forgive me if I've repeated a suggestion!
