I'm immensely looking forward to next Thursday evening! The semester will truly be over then, and I'll have all the time in the world to do things other than uni things! Yay!

I'm also a massive Tangled lover!!! Reading replies in this thread lead me to listening to the soundtrack on Spotify... :-) The movie I first had in mind is Beginners. It's an understated one. I adore it.

That's a great attitude to have! I've tried it out once or twice, and found it to be helpful, but promptly forgot all about it. I'll have to keep it in mind. Thinking, "I get to go to work!" makes me feel so much lighter.

This is a brilliant thread idea! My favourite quality about myself is probably my capacity for empathy. I think this serves me really well... I'm also quite level-headed, which aids me in not getting overly, unhealthily absorbed by other people's emotions.

I'll write this for yesterday, considering it's 10:38am right now and I've hardly done anything yet... 1. I was pleasantly, and thoroughly, surprised by my ability to accept physical affection from someone dear. 2. I got to eat McDonald's! 3. I didn't consume caffeine all day, and made it out alive!

We're all so close to the finishing line of this semester! I've now completed everything except two final exams! It feels pretty great. I feel apprehensive about next semester, but am trying to allay my anxiety and be excited about the interim period instead. We can do it!

@JanaG I have a few on my list, though I'm sure others will crop up! The Invisible Gorilla, The Buddha in the Attic, The Willpoper Instinct, Mindfulness in Plain English :-) Is there anything you're pining to read this summer?

I'm hoping to do one uni subject during the summer term. It would be nice to get it out of the way so I have one less subject to worry about during the following regular academic year! Aside from that, I plan on continuing to work, reading for pleasure, running, going to the gym more often, learning to cook a greater variety of foods, swimming in a rock pool, and generally getting rest and respite in preparation for the year ahead...! It will be nice. Contrary to my usual attitude, I am looking forward to summer!

Exercise! I always feel content after a good sweat session. It's fairly easy to get a hold of, but sometimes requires an internal nudge out the door.

@Super_Me Woohoo! Go you! Driving manual is awesome! I learned to drive manual, and got my Ps a couple of months ago. It was certainly frustrating at first... I was terrified of stopping at red lights because that meant having to get the car going again, and I often stalled (And was honked at). It was particularly frustrating to recognise that the vast majority of the driving challenges I was experiencing were exclusive to manual driving... I'd think about how much easier it would all be if I were learning automatic! But as I got more and more used to it, it became really enjoyable. I've driven automatic once, and whilst it's easier, it honestly isn't as much fun. I'm not sure if I have any tips, but I would like to reassure you - you'll get the hang of it, and soon you'll be looking back on the early struggle with laughter.

@Lula Pepsi! If suddenly handed $1 Million, I'd probably keep it in the bank to accumulate interest for a while... and then buy property? Pretty boring and sensible. And then I'd adopt a bunch of dogs. Ahh I don't have a standout favourite... I love Beginners, Short Term 12, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Never Let Me Go... there are propbably more... Oh dear.

@DruidChild Teleport! There isn't a stand out #1 country, but I have a bit of a fascination with Iceland and The Galapogas. It's so expensive to go to these places though, so Japan, The US, and Canada are my 'realistic' most desired travel destinations!

@Ben-RO I absolutely adore all dogs but have a soft spot for schnauzers. I love Siamese cats. As for bird... I think finches are sweet! I pole dance, and so can do a handstand against the pole. But I have to get onto the pole upside down, and then come down onto my hands. Or I can wrap my legs on the pole and walk my way up into a handstand position. I can probably hold it for several minutes? I haven't tried though!!! I would like to do free standing handstands someday in the not too distant future. Hillary.

@DruidChild I've also found that people in the room speak with the assumption that nobody present has experienced the issue at hand. It can be tough! Especially when they speak in a way that perpetuates stigma. @Bay52VU I'm glad that mental health is included in the training, and that your colleagues are sensitive enough to refrain from making rude jokes. I laughed a little at your reference to the "ah ok this is some information" face. I don't think I pull a very convincing one myself! Sounds like a good idea to have a look at the material before your boss addresses it!

Hello, @ell92 ! I too was drawn to paramedicine but decided against it because of the employment scene! I love to hear you speak so enthusiastically about nursing! Helps make me feel more optimistic. I bet you are a wonderful asset to your colleagues and patients.

@RevzZ I sometimes get sleepy after a shower too! But I also often can't settle down into doing some work until after I've showered because I feel gross. I've finally made a start on my assignment! Only about 100 words in, but I suppose it's something...

Great idea, @redhead! 1. What is your favourite colour? Green! 2. What is the best games thread? I like 'Would you rather?'! 3. Name three random objects in your reach A water bottle, a blank birthday card, and a terrarium! 4. What is your dream job? A doctor of some description... I'm drawn to a lot of different specialties! 5. Your favourite 2 songs atm (link them) Here Comes the Sun and Wash 6. What is favourite shoes you wear? I really like wearing my black Doc Marten boots! I feel a little bit unstoppable in them for a little while. 7. Why did you join RO? I think I first joined RO when I was 11 or 12... I was attracted to the fact sheets on the main website first, and found myself on the forums. I'd been having a hard time at school, and found it refreshing to read open discussions of difficult/taboo issues on here. I didn't have anyone in 'real life' to talk about these things with, so RO was a haven.

Lately, my old SH scars have been getting to me. They didn't bother me so much for years, but I suspect that that was because I just ignored them greatly. Now I'm seeing some that I hadn't actually noticed for years. It's painful to think that I'll have this skin for the rest of my life. I wish I could time travel backwards to slap my past self who thought that scarring my body wouldn't matter because I wouldn't be alive to bear the consequences. My fear of failure is stopping me from working on an assignment. I never seem to learn!
