Healthy Friendships : Who's your dream bestie?
Good friends can be hard to find, even more so if you're not sure what to look for or what a healthy friendship actually looks like! Some people might be lucky enough to meet their BFF when they start school, and others might not find their people until they leave school. Both are ok! It's important to surround yourself with friendships that make you feel GOOD, even if that takes a while!
- Someone who accepts and respects you, you can be your true self around them with no judgement.
- Someone you can trust, that you feel comfortable opening up to and know they will keep your private chats, private.
- Someone who is there for you when things are tough, who can listen and support you when you need it.
- Someone who makes you laugh! Who you can have fun with and feel happy around.
Thinking of those traits, if you could pick a dream best friend from a movie/TV show/cartoon, who would you pick and why? Let us know below, GIFs encouraged!

Can I just say my best friend has all of those traits and more? She's a perfect fit for me! I would personally pick Kyoka Izumi from Bungou Stray Dogs, because she would go at lengths to protect those she cares about!
@Aoki ahhh Bungou Stray Dogs is awesome!! Still need to watch the latest season but good pick! 🫶🏽
My dream bestie would be Hermione Granger, she will stick up for you and let you be who you are but she is also smart and seems like she has good judgement to help you out when you need a friend. Someone you could really trust.
Totally agree! She seems like she'd use her smarts and good judgement to give really good advice when you needed it too ❤️
For me, it's Troy from Community.
I just love how he's so accepting and non-judgemental. In fact he takes that one step further by absolutely running with it, whether that's building a giant blanket fort city to hosting an imaginary (and very catchy) morning show with his best friend.
He's completely himself and embracing his own whackiness let's others be themselves too.
I think there's this pressure a lot of people feel to act a certain way, fit a certain mold. So when you find someone that's willing to just be themselves and who you can forget your worries with, you realise how rare and precious that is.
Yessss! I love Troy so much. His and Abed's friendship makes me so happy 😊 Oh I think I need to have a Community re-watch now!
I recently watched Elemental, and I feel like Wade seems like a really good close friend to have! He seems very pure, good-natured, sincere, and encouraging. It's also just funny how emotional he can be (so much crying!), and how gets a little nervous sometimes.

I haven't seen Elemental yet, but have heard good things! 🔥💧
Wade sounds like a great friend, someone who is there for you but is also open to expressing his emotions. We love to see it! 👏
I think Eleven from Stranger Things would make a good friend because she always sticks up for and defends her friends. She's also trustworthy and is always willing to protect her friends which are admirable traits to have in a best friend 😄
Such a good one @Blueberry_Kudu !
I think the whole Stranger Things crew is such a great friendship group, and certainly some good pals to have around if you ever stumble across a demogorgon 😅
This is a very tricky question. I spent quite some time thinking about it but I believe Ender Wiggin from "Ender's Game" would make an incredible friend for me. (Hence my username 😁).
Ender's intelligence and strategic thinking would provide stimulating conversations and challenges that engage my mind. His ability to adapt to difficult situations would make him an ideal companion during times of uncertainty. Also, his emotional sensitivity would foster deep connections and meaningful discussions, allowing me to open up and share my thoughts and feelings without judgment. 😊
Besides, Ender's loyalty and unwavering support for his friends would create a strong foundation of trust and dependability. I could rely on him to be there for me in both good times and bad, providing a sense of comfort and security. ☺️
I've never seen Ender's Game, but I love sci-fi movies so I think I'll have to add it to my watch list! Sounds like Ender would be a really reliable friend to have around and certainly ticks a lot of healthy friendship boxes. Good pick! 👏
