I was relaxing on my bed after a long day. I had just come home from a small dinner at the nearby restraunt when I heard an owl "hoot" from outside my window. I reflected on how easy it would be to be an owl. You could fly wherever you wanted, eat whatever you wanted. Then, I reflected on what you couldn't do as an owl. You couldn't go bowling, go surfing, or read a book. Owls didn't know much about human life. They didn't know anything about diamond rings, calendars, or any human technology. All this talk about calendars made me think of the year so far. I thought about the fireworks on New Years, buying the first keys to my car, and joining ReachOut.

Today was the start of the new year. My friends and I went to the bar to hangout and to play some games. As usual, Sammy kicked our butts and beat us all, as well as setting a new record for the fastest time time to beat the game. We went outside, laughing at our adventures until I saw something fall out of the sky. It was a pufferfish! When I told my friends, they didn't belive me. They thought I was going insane! Then the fish landed and spun across the street. The disgusted faces they pulled was enough for me to start rolling on the ground, laughing at their weird expressions.

My story:
I've always been obsessed with the sky. My brother calls me 'Star' because I would always be starstruck by the night sky. As I grew older, I learnt about the planets in our solar system, I learnt about the moon and the sun, and how stars were massive flaming balls of gas. I grew curious with each new thing I learned. I promised myself that one day, I would touch the stars. One day, about a year ago today, I was at this local cafe on a date with a guy that I never saw after that day, and I told him about that dream I had as a kid. He laughed. Then, he said that it was more likely that dinosaurs resurrect from an early grave to take back the planet they lived on than for me to climb Mt Everest. Hence why I never saw him again after that. Anyway, all this is to say that the stars look even more beautiful from up here than they ever did in the campground as a kid. As fun as it was climbing up the mountain, skiing down will be one hell of a ride.

However, what I will say of course, is I saw Elvis Presley (of course he's not dead... 😅). All eyes were on him as he lit up the stage with his groovy rock n roll and most of all, his sparkly pant suit was on point!

My interpretation:
A baker reported a break in, someone had stole all the bread! So he caught a train to inspect the scene. "Remarkable!" He thought, "what?" said the baker. It was discovered that the scene had all the markings of the well renowned gem thief, but why would they want bread. The tracked them down but to crack the case they had to play the queens gambit .....
