What Makes You Feel Nostalgic?

Hey everyone!

Something I've realised is that I find a lottt of comfort reminiscing on nostalgia and engaging with things I find nostalgic so I thought it would be cute to start a thread where we share things we find nostalgic! Plus I've decided I really like making lil threads hehe. These can be smells, tv shows, foods etc! It can be whatever you want! Here are some of the things that make me feel nostalgic : D
- Walking past my old primary school
- The smell of my Nonna's sewing room
- My grandmother's house in the Philippines
- Baked beans on toast
- The opening and ending theme songs to "In the Night Garden" (I LOVED that show when I was a lil kid)
- Pastina, especially if it's little stars

Feel free to share some things you find nostalgic in this thread 😊

This is so cute and wholesome @snazzy_pigeon🎀 It's so lovely to see and relate to the other responses aswell!

You're so right about the theme songs of 'In the Night Garden', the show was so strangely cute and very nostalgic to me as well!

Personally, I've always found comfort in dress-up, makeover and avatar creation games. The Barbie website was basically my whole childhood and it feels so great to be reminded of those things. ( ᵘ ᵕ ᵘ ⁎)

Some other things I find nostalgic are:
- Disney movies and sitcoms
- coolmathgames
- Strawberry Shortcake
- Smiggle stationery
- R4 games on DS
- Stickers and stamps (the ones with smiley faces and well-done you see after your teacher marks your work)

I love this post @snazzy_pigeon

For me, it would definitely be the drive back to my home town. I moved hours away, a few years ago and the second I hit a certain part in the trip back home, I feel it. Right when I enter the town and I'm only 10 minutes away from my Grandparents house, I get that rush of nostalgia. I also love seeing how much the town has changed since I've been there, new shops and renovated areas.

I also feel nostalgic when I eat a meal cooked by my parents. Whether that be a take-out container that I've pulled out of the freezer, or being with them for that meal. I definitely miss them cooking for me every day, so I cherish it when I get the opportunity.

Also Disney movies. I've definitely mentioned this a few times on the forums but whenever I'm feeling a bit sad or overwhelmed, I will ALWAYS put on a Disney/kids movie and it makes all my worries go away.

I think as we get older, we definitely cherish these special moments more than ever 😊💕

The star pastina and Nonna's sewing room is SO REAL!!

For me, I'd say
- barbie movie songs, I knew all the lyrics

- when it's a super hot day and all the curtains are closed, eating a zooper dooper at home

- the game kid game website

- nick jr, especially the older shows like wonder pets, the Backyardigans, lazy town and blues clues

Hey @snazzy_pigeon

This I such a wholesome post!

There’s this smell that only happens during spring and I can’t really describe it but takes me back to being a kid at school. Also, the smell of rain is so comforting and reminds me of all the storms I’ve gotten caught out it (it was a lot more pleasant than it sounds).

Hi @snazzy_pigeon

Thanks for this nice post!

The things that make me feel nostalgic are old tv shows and movies that I used to watch as a kid, listening to old music I used to listen to, and eating food I used to eat in primary school like some snacks like (jumpies, roll ups).

Wow I remember In the Night Garden I used to watch that show all the time!

This is such an interesting post @snazzy_pigeon ! I moved areas when I went into high school so I get particularly nostalgic when I'm able to visit the places that I grew up in because I don't get to see them regularly.

Welcome back!
