Realistic Goals
Hey everyone! What's one realistic goal you have set/want to set for yourself for the future? 😊
Mine is to try driving in specific areas I haven't driven in before/have avoided, with some support from other people in the passenger seat, due to my driving anxiety!

Hi @Green_Ghost
I love setting small goals, mine at the moment is saying no to things I don't want to do or already have plans without feeling guilty, I am slowly getting there but is still quite a challenge at the moment.
Hi @Rara
This is one that I'm working on too! I understand the challenge of it, you're doing great I'm sure ❤️
Hi @Green_Ghost
I can totally relate to the driving anxiety! I'm going for my drive test soon and I'm so nervous. I want to drive more in areas I've avoided in the past as well!
Another goal i have for myself is to drink more water. I've been drinking a glass of water every morning and before each meal, and I try to have my water bottle with me at all times. It's only been a few weeks since I started doing this and I'm already noticing a difference, my skin has cleared up so much! 😊
Hey @miso_soup
I hope you do well on your driving test! I remember I was so nervous for mine but managed to make it after a few attempts 🙂
I should drink more water too! I always forget to drink water. I want to buy one of those bottles with like the 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, etc.. markers on them that signify how much water you should be drinking by each hour. My skin isn't looking great at the moment, maybe I should consider this 💧
Love setting small goals that promote big changes!! 😋
My goal is to sleep earlier (around 11pm) instead of my usual early morning hours to make sure I try to get my full 8 hours of sleep to stay rested for the day.
Hey @frozenA
Me too! That sounds like an excellent goal. I also try and get 8 hours per night! 😴💤
Hi @Green_Ghost
Thanks for this post! I think that's a great goal that you have set for yourself and one that I should consider as well! My realistic goals that I would like to set for myself is to prioritise my sleep schedule, I always tell myself I will sleep earlier but then backfires haha and I would also like to stick to a regular exercise routine and to motivate myself more. I hope you end up achieving your goal! 🙂
Hey @Blueberry_Kudu
Glad it's inspired you to want to pursue more driving as well ☺️
That sounds like some good goals to set for the future!
I hope you end up achieving them 😇
My specific goal is to create 'easy to stick to' routines. I'm someone who suffers from serious burn out and a lot of adhd symptoms regarding being disorganised, forgetting to do tasks and feeling like the smallest chores are the hardest things ever.
If I don't cook, or do the dishes, then there's no food or clean dishes. So I'm trying to create my 'easy to stick to' routines by washing my dishes as soon as I've finished with them. As well as setting aside enough time a few times a week to meal plan healthy and nutritious meals so I'm not relying on 'not so nutritious' food I have in my freezer.
And I completely understand how you @Green_Ghost and @snazzy_pigeon feel! Almost as soon as I got my license, I moved to a major city and live in an inner suburb. I essentially learnt how to drive alone, in very busy areas and the CBD. It took a while, but I am pretty confident in my driving skills now, espeically around the dreaded trams.
Hey @Invictus-Ernest
That sounds interesting, I like the example you gave with the dishes 🙂
I should definitely meal plan too for my lunches so I'm not having stuff from the freezer all the time either 👩🍳
I'm so glad I don't live in a city with trams, I only just heard about hook turns (i think they're called???) from Melbourne family. But thats amazing that you're confident with your driving, I hope I can try and drive in the CBD soon. It's taking a lot of motivation and build up for me to get to that point in the future.
@Green_Ghost I love this post!!!! My specific goal is to try and go to the gym at least two times a week, specifically on Monday and Friday mornings cause for some reason it's harder for me to go in the afternoon and the weekend haha!
Also I relate to you on the driving anxiety I am terrified to drive in the Melbourne CBD😅 But you got this!!
Hey @snazzy_pigeon
I like that you've identified the times of the day that you're most likely to want to go. That definitely helps. That's like me with my uni work, I'm so much more productive in the mornings!
Thank you for your encouragement 😇🚗
