Self care
Hi everyone,
I thought that i would hop on and share some of the things i do as 'self-care'
My favourite thing is listening to music and cuddling up with my dog + my journal.
I like to list down the things that i feel most grateful for about that day - whether it be the food i ate, how good the water i drank tasted (yes i'm a water lover) or even that I'm grateful that it rained so the plants outside get watered for free!
I think self- care is a personal experience to build for yourself.
What are some ways you practice self-care? 🐩

This posted boosted me a little thank u sm u sound like the kind of person id have on speed dial to just help out with anything I practice with ofc my fav music and also making my own music with writing an production my creative mind loves it
Hey @crazydoglady , thank you so much for sharing! I love that you practice positivity through gratitude for yourself and even the plants outside - it really shows what a pure and kind-hearted person you are 🤗
Self-care for me also involves listening to music, organising my digital journal, drawing or pilates and cardio. I would love for some music reccomendations! What songs do you like to unwind to?
Awww thank you! you are so kind! honeslty, what type of music do you like? I have a pretty diverse taste so its always confusing where to start when people ask for musci recs!
Thank you and right back to you 🥰! I like to think I also have diverse taste in music similarly to you, but at the moment, I love indie-pop. I personally think most songs by The Marias or Beabadoobee are great to unwind to, how about yourself?
I love listening to music, watching shows, doomscrolling tiktok, doing some face masks, doing my eyebrows, venting, etc. 😇
I love the idea of the gratitude list! I'll be sure to try it out sometime 😊
Omg i love this!!! I wish i could do my own eyebrows - too scared to ruin them, i only ever pluck a couple hairs hahah. Venting is definietly a great idea to get all your thoughts and feelings out there.
I also love cuddling up with my dog or taking him for walks to get into nature! I also practice self-care by going to the gym and Pilates, meditating, and reading books I love.
I believe that you cannot be your best self or support others without supporting yourself first. Because of this, I try not to wait until I am stressed or burnt out to start practising self-care. Instead, I try to practice self-care everyday to make sure that I am filling my cup and preventing myself from becoming burnt out in the first place!
Absolutely! i am so proud that you are filling your cup! i definietly need to work on incorporating more into my self-care routine in order to stop myself from burning out - especially during exam season at uni
It's awesome you know what works for you, cuddling up with furry friends is always so nice!
For me, self care involves checking off my daily goals that take care of my physical body (eg. eating three meals, some form of movement even if it's small and meditating) and also writing down the small things I accomplished everyday in a book. It feels good to see I'm doing things that better my situation, and over time I've seen how my small wins are getting slightly bigger and the positive effects it has on my energy levels. I also love making playlists, reading and drawing as a form of decompressing 😊
Wow! that is amazing! You should be incredibly proud of yourself
I like how you list down things that you are grateful for each day and its definitely something I should incorporate in my routine.
For self care I like listening to music, being out in nature and spending time with my dog! What kind of music do you like to listen to?
Hi @Blueberry_Kudu I definietly love listing down the good things as it just brings to light the positives when i sometimes have a bad day and i listen to all sorts of music to be honest - my taste ranges from instrumental music to rap music and hip-pop 😅
