Happy Easter to you too @scared01 and everyone else!!!! I hope Easter bunny poops his magical chocolate everywhere for everyone to enjoy! We are having our Easter today. My family are not religious at all so we are having an American BBQ type feast at our house with my sister, brother in law and nephew. My husband is a chef so it restricts what we do a little due to him working weekends, but I am happy with a quite one and maybe a date with my sewing machine

@ryvb3 ohhhhhhh I like it a lot! I haven't set up a journal yet as work has been completely hectic but I plan on scheduling some time over the weekend so I can. I love colour! Colour always fixes bad drawings :)

Did someone say Harry Potter? I love a little bit of HP. I just got the illustrated books for Christmas from my amazing husband, and slowly chipping through them whenever Im not too tired to read them! I also love FOB; They are my go to "turn up the volume and sing like a crazy lady" song when I'm driving along! I used to be a massive MCR fan in my high school years but they I fell for the Jonas Brothers - total opposites ey? (don't judge, they were/are cute haha and yes, I had many posters of them on my wall. I replaced my MCR ones with them lol)

Hey @Mila28, First of all, thank you for sharing. It's a shame the stigma that surrounds suicide and how sometimes people can be so uninformed. Your friends sounds like she wants to be there for you, but doesn't know how to handle the situation. Your friends finances behaviour sounds very controlling by banning her etc. To me that doesn't sound like an equal relationship what so ever. Is she OK? It's hard having to be around people like that. I can also imagine there will be times where you will have to be around each other? When I am around very toxic people, I always have a plan and this changes from person to person (yes, I have had many toxic people in my life). Like for example, my Mum and I never had a great relationship, so when I was around her and she would start with the put downs or blaming me for her own life decisions, I would communicate what she was saying was inappropriate in a much calmer way than what she was speaking. It takes a lot of courage, but my goodness can it be so much more empowering! Know your limits, set boundaries, communicate them. If you are around him and starts being mean, leave. Try and find a way to communicate these boundaries with your friend so she is aware. Just remember, his thoughts or behaviours lay with him and it doesn't necessarily mean they are true!! Try and stay strong, you seem to have a lot going on and keep reflecting and wanting to look after you, because at the end of the day YOU are the most important person! I will leave you with a cheesy quote "Do not ever let anyone make you feel like you don't matter, or like you don't have a place in our story - because you do, and you have every right to be who you want to be." - Michelle Obama

Thanks @ryvb3! I loved some of these prompts in the other post! I’ve done a little researching about bullet journals. As I said earlier, being a perfectionist, I love order. So I thought maybe a bullet journal would be amazing to not only write down thoughts, ideas, what I’m greatful for, goals and positive quotes but to get the creative juices flowing! even though, I suck at drawing etc. have you or know anyone who keeps a bullet journal? I also love the idea of a mood tracker. I’ll be interested to know if anyone has tried one before? Was it helpful?

Hey, So, I've done journal writing in the past and did not feel therapeutic at all, instead I felt like I was winging and complaining. Plus, I am someone who puts way too much pressure on themselves to make things perfect etc. Yes, yes, I am a perfectionist. What do others feel about journal writing? What are some of the pro's and con's?

Being an adult sucks sometimes! Being and adult and having work pressures/stresses is just as much sucky sometimes. Yesterday, I paid 5 different bills all due in the next week. :(

Hi @Bee It took a lot for me to go and see the GP as I only usually go to the GP if I'm on my "death bed" or lets face it, pulling the ultimate sickie at work. So I was super proud of myself. I will go and have another chat. I have a doc in another town. I don't know what will help most and thats why I spoke to the GP to see if she could guide me.

@lokifishHe has been supportive but it’s hard on him as well. He gets hurt that I feel so alone when he is there and gets frustrated which then starts into an argument. So sometimes I just don’t bother. He came with me to the Docs and said he was super proud of me being brave and stuff. He does try and I know he is coming from a good place but it’s not helpful when he gets frustrated. I’ve also communicated with him what I find helpful and he just doesn’t follow through.

Hey, First time poster, first time reader. I’ve been struggling lately... big time. I recently just got married to my wonderful husband and I’m so over the moon but then next minute I get overwhelmed with emotions where I am sad, feeling lonely, just can’t stop crying. It’s frsutating because I am happy but it just happens and I can’t stop. I have had a traumatic childhood and I have never dealt with it. I thought today I would take the day off work, go to GP and see what we can do. I told the GP what had been happening but they just put it down to me job (which is a high pressured job) and gave me a couple days off work but that isn’t going to make me feel better. That isn’t going to stop me from feeling average. Im a counsellor so I know a few strategies but nothing is working and I don’t know why?
