hahahaha yep... sounds like his first day is going to be a scream fest! Hahaha, I see I see. It sounds like he was being cheeky. I must say, a broom on your face would've been really unpleasant, especially if you're suffering from hay-fever haha. You think bluey would have been enough entertainment but apparently not! Haha I'm guessing an early night is on the cards for you. I'll be logging off in 30. Great chatting to you though! I love hearing your funny stories about the little one. Hopefully I'll catch you again sometime soon!

Hahahaha omg him trying to fix you by brooming at you hahaha. Love it. This kid is onto something. But honestly, very sweet, bless him . Reminded me of something funny that happened with my nephew the other day. My cat (shakira) was sick and my sister-in-law told my newphew (her son) that Shakira was sick. And he said "I'm sick too.........sick of kinder." That sounds like the night you need right now. Rest up. Gonna chuck something on the telly or?

Okay so, I've never really listened to Miley Cyrus, but her new single (the remix with Stevie nicks) got me listening to her album on YouTube and I honestly love it. I had no idea how much of a talented singer she is. Anyway, I'm currently loving "High" by her.

Bahaha, I'm guessing quiet is hard to achieve with a 3 yr old at home. By quiet I mean like, staying at home with the immediate fam, watching telly or something. @Saltwaterdreamtime

Hey @MB95 I've just caught up on your thread. I'm sorry this has been so upsetting to you . I can see that you're judging yourself for the way you're feeling. Try to be kind to yourself. It is okay to be feeling the way you are and it does not make you a bitch. It sounds like you have an explanation/reason as to why these sorts of feelings are occurring for you - so it is not your fault as such. It's really good that you have the insight you do. I'm super glad you brought it up with us and felt comfortable enough to chat with us. I hope you have found everyone's suggestions helpful!

True or False 1. Cats have more bones than humans 2. Cats have soft tongues 3. Cats use their whiskers to navigate the world 4. Cats generally sleep for 10 hours a day 1T - they have 230 bones, 24 more than humans. 2F - they have rough tongues that feel like sandpaper IMO 3T - they use their whiskers to see whether they can fit into spaces 4F - they typically sleep for more, around 12-16 hours

Aw @Eden1717 - that sounds really tough. I can hear how exhausted and tired you are, and how much it is getting to you. The mirror thing must be so frightening . It's concerning that you still haven't eaten . If you have a coles or woolworths near you, then you might be able to do your grocery shopping online and get it delivered if that's any easier... I'm so sorry to hear you have so little support at the moment. Hopefully you are assigned a case manager soon. I'm glad you're posting here and keeping us updated with how you are. We're always here to listen

Hey @Saltwaterdreamtime I just caught up on your thread. It was really touching to read. I hope you are proud of yourself as you sure as hell deserve to feel proud! You've gone through so much and you got through it all. I honestly think you have a great story to tell and I encourage you to continue to do mentoring like you mentioned in your post, as I believe many others can learn from you. You raise a great question about keeping the conversation going. ReachOut will keep this here as a resource for anyone who would like to read it, and then we can potentially post relevant content here as it comes up. Otherwise, you are of course, welcome to create your own thread on this topic which you can update as you please. What are your thoughts on this?

Aw @Eden1717 - you really can't catch a break, can you? I've just caught up on your thread and I can hear (or read) what a difficult time you're going through. It honestly sucks to read how hard everything is for you. I can feel how conflicted you are about taking the medication. I wish I could say something to make it all better, but if only things were that easy. Giving the medication 6-weeks to work is ideal but at the same time, it sounds like things have been hell for you, so I can understand why that would be so challenging. I guess this is obvious, but I'd just encourage you to continue speaking to your supports about everything. You mention not having money for food etc. You live with your parents, right? Do they have anything in the pantry that you can eat? Even something small and quick such as a muesli bar, cereal, or a piece of fruit or something?

Hey @Guitarman97 Great post. Thanks for creating it. I'm sure many of the people from our community will benefit from it, especially those from South Australia. From what I've gathered from telly, the number of people affected isn't overly big is it? Like, not as bad as Melbourne was at one point. So, hopefully, like you said, it will be over with sooner rather than later! I'm from Melbourne and it was tough but I am so glad that we did it now because the numbers are so much lower. Hang in there South Australians!!! We're here if you need our support

Hi @SophieHarris Welcome to the forum. We're glad you found this thread helpful. You mentioned feeling desperate and lacking resources. Just letting you know that we're always here for a chat if you ever need some support. You are always more than welcome to create your own thread! Also, I'm not sure if you're aware, but there are always helplines available should you ever need support with something.

Hey @Bento I'm so sorry to hear that you're in such a dark place at the moment. I know you expressed concerns about not understanding (or not fitting in) with society prior to the pandemic, so I can only imagine how you're feeling now. It sounds like you're really scared about the outside world and worried about what other people think. When you say you're worried about what other people think, do you mean about you or society? Or both? I noticed that you have pushed your family away, despite them being supportive of you. Does this help you cope with the situation or make it worse?

Hi @jasmine_8 Welcome to the forums! It sounds like you've been experiencing some uncomfortable symptoms, and I can understand why they're getting to you. We believe you and don't think you're being dramatic, and I'd be surprised if the people around you thought otherwise. OCD (if that is what you have) can be treated in multiple ways through medication or psychotherapy. Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy is meant to be an effective psychological treatment for OCD. I encourage you to speak to your doctor about it and ask for a referral to see a psychologist if you are concerned. Also, if you're at school or university, it might be an idea to get in contact with the school counselor. What do you think about taking these steps?
