Very much so @honky I can understand that I am not an easy person to deal with when I am angry. But it seems like he didn't really care :( He said that he knows that I'm trying really hard and so he broke up with me because he feels like he's not trying (?) and that's unfair to me. So that's where it gets confusing and weird.

Hey @N1ghtW1ng Just slowly trying to gain my appetite at the moment and keeping myself busy with work. Talking it out with different people to gain perspective and opinion has been helping too. It's a slow progress but hopefully I get to a better place. The sadness and my mood just fluctuates a lot through the day, which can be exhausting. His mum and I are having coffee this weekend to catch up and chat. It's been a bit hard but getting better each day somehow.

@letitgo Yeah, pretty much. I saw a future with this guy and it looked good. Maybe that's my own fault for putting all my eggs in the same basket. At the moment, I'm just so sad but not sad enough to cry? Is that weird?

Hey @JanaG Yeah, that's right. I feel like he's not as hurt by it as I am right now. I feel like such a total wreck. I took medication to help me sleep and I just work up now. The pain and the hurt just keeps on coming. I just want to be back with him and be a happy couple again :(

Hey @letitgo Thanks for your reply. Just talking to friends at the moment but I still feel really lousy. It just really stings me how apathetic and indifferent he is to the situation and how bad this is making me feel

My boyfriend of 2 years broke up with me today. We lived together for a bit at his parents' after I was forcibly shoved out of my own parents' house and needed somewhere to stay. As we were in each other's faces, I moved out into an apartment but we still wanted to continue the relationship. But today as we broke up, he said how much he didn't like how bitter, vindictive, angry and resentful I can be and that every time we had a fight, he kept on giving me chances. He said that the reason why he was reluctant to break up in the first place was his own fear of being lonely and the guilt of knowing how much I love him. I've tried really hard in the past and even now, to have my anger under control. We both have our own flaws, and I have been actively working on them. But it seems like he doesn't want to work on his own. Into the future, he says that he wants to remain just friends. But I can't help but be a bit wishful that as we grow as individuals (away from each other) that we could rekindle our relationship. I'm feeling like a wreck right now and I just want some advice I am just not coping well right now

Hey everyone! Thought I'd pop in to wish you all a happy new year, new beginnings, and continuing journeys. There's a great deal of people associating the new year for big optimistic times, but it also means that coming to the end of the year - it's also a time to reflect too. Every year, there seems to be this huge pressure to suddenly have an almighty change or think of something magical to do (and have resolutions ) So, I just want to find out... What were the negatives of 2016 for you? What were your positives of 2016, from looking at all the negatives? What small stuff do you want to do or bring into 2017? E.g. What were the negatives of 2016 for you? Switched between too many different medications Sucked so bad at uni this year Lost my car and got kicked out of home What were your positives of 2016, from looking at the negatives? Now on a stable medication and mental health-wise, going A-OK Putting through an application to re-enrol and have re-found my passions in a different field :) Getting a new car next week and now staying with my partner Bonus positives: Been adventuring in the job realm and am extremely lucky to be working as a support worker and as a project officer What small stuff do you want to do or bring into 2017? Being able to be more free to explore hobbies and interests Cutting my hair short and getting a new tattoo Be able to donate some blood (before getting a new tattoo, haha) Finally get my new car Be able to travel for fun more freely :) Feel free to add more bonus positives and small stuff! Don't ever feel pressured to think that you've gotta make big stuff happen because it's the small stuff that usually leads the way. Hope you all have a happy new year!!!

Right now, I am ... feeling uncertain about what the future holds for me. The entire year has been a bit bogus and it will also be ending in a bang too (in a bad way). Got kicked out of home, and now potentially getting kicked out of uni too. But I'd like to think that somewhere, there may be some good times ahead

What would constitute your “perfect” day? My perfect day would be one without any hassles :/ If you could invite 6 guests to a dinner party, living or dead, who would they be and why? Carrie Fisher - Who wouldn't want to have dinner with the OG Princess Leia?! Margaret Cho - For a laugh lol Dr Munjed Al Muderis - I just think he's a badass and it would be interesting to hear about his journey to Australia Luke Nguyen - I admire his cooking talents (and hey, maybe convince him to cook up? :P) John Collee - Apparently, he went off to med school but did writing on the side. Now, he's a full-time screenwriter who just happened to become a doctor. He wrote scripts for Happy Feet and Walking with Dinosaurs. Aunty Donna - I know that these guys are three dudes, but I'd count them as one entity lol What did you have for breakfast this morning? I had smoked salmon, brie, pepper and fennel salt on toast and a flat white. Sounds a bit pretentious but it was tasty :P and that's all that matters. What’s your favourite item of clothing and why? I like dresses. It's just one item of clothing that you put on and you're done. Really low maintence to wear haha Can you speak any languages other than English? What are they? If not, are there any languages you’d like to learn? I speak French, a bit of Chinese and Vietnamese. I wish that I could learn Chinese and Vietnamese properly but my god, courses are so expensive! D: And hardly anyone teaches Vietnamese here in Australia. I would also like to learn Spanish, Arabic, German, and an Australian Indigenous dialect.

Hey @redhead You're not breaching the guidelines at all. Like @Sans-RO has said, even if you may think what you're going through may seem to be not be as bad as others - it doesn't mean that you feel like you don't deserve help! Both @Sans-RO and @Ben-RO have offered some top advice and resources (like helplines), which are super important since a lot of the time, people don't know where to start. I see that in your latest post, you've started to challenge what you don't like and finding out the nitty gritty behind why you're experiencing the ED. As someone who's also struggled with weight throughout the years too, I don't think you are an attention-seeking thinspo blog girl. I'm also guilty of trawling through Pinterest and looking at all those fitspo and 'transformation' photos - there's even a damn fitness magazine on my desk right now. In many ways, I can sympathise with feeling fucking tired all the time and feeling really shitty about my body. So, looking at the things that you don't like about your body and how it makes you feel (taking the baton from @Ben-RO), what is your ideal body image? Challenging your own thoughts about how you perceive 'the perfect body' can also help you delve deeper into what your goals are and why you may think that someone 'can't be fat and have an ED' too. What do you think?

Hey @Sean8573 Welcome to ReachOut! I'm also a fan of history shows and biographies - there are definitely some interesting people out there and a lot of weird stuff that has happened in history so far! Looks like you're good at positive self-talk and acknowledging what your strengths and 'room for improvement' stuff is too. You've said that you can be relatively hard on yourself and that when things go well, you tend to become cocky and get ahead of yourself. But, you become disappointed when stuff suddenly goes downhill - is that right? You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and it looks like you're a good goal-setter too. I've seen by your list here that you're working towards improving your overall health and well-being. How've you been finding building up on your goals and key strengths so far? It can be a slow process for sure but it looks like you're becoming more motivated! Keep us posted and we're always here to hear you out

Hey @Spidergirl16 Welcome to ReachOut! It was great to see you come and chat to us on Monday night about dealing with the sads. We hope to see you around more often! It sounds like you're very self-aware about what is helpful and unhelpful for your mental health. And that's a good thing! It can be super challening to find out what does and doesn't work out for you. Are there any healthy coping strategies or distractions that you use when you feel anxious about self-harming? You sound like you're handling work and uni quite well at the moment. Between them, are there any hobbies or interests that you spend time on too? What your passions and interests are can create a pretty safe, comfortable environment to get to meet more people - since everyone has at least one thing in common! Let us know how you go, and we're always here to listen and chat

Hey @Grake My Tuesday night was alright, not too special How're you feeling this Wednesday? Gosh, you sound so busy! It's great to hear that you're doing well at TAFE and that you've found a sport that you're enjoying. What sort of sport is it? Been wanting to try some different ones out too! @N1ghtW1ng has offered some great advice - it could be worth 'building up' on getting to know different people. It's definitely disheartening when, who you thought was a close friend, leaves you in the lurch. But for every bad experience, there's always something to be learnt from it and it doesn't necessarily mean that nothing positive comes out of it either. Since you're at TAFE and that you've joined a new sport too, do you think that spending more time on hobbies or stuff that interests you could be a more cosy environment to meet people?

Hey @Zeraxero Welcome to the forums. Thank you for sharing with us. It takes great courage to share, and it's never easy. Following on the advice of @witheverylight, finding out what you like about yourself and your passions in life is pretty important. When it comes to companionship, it can also help you out with finding out what you value in yourself and what sort of companion you'd like to spend your time with too. I agree that it's totally crap when some people reckon that family is one of the key 'great loves'. Not every family is supporting or loving for everyone. Sometimes, our 'family' aren't bloodlines like our friends, workmates, or people out in your neighbourhood. Is there anyone that you can reach out and have a chat about what's been going on for you? Why do you think that no one will ever love you? Keep us posted - we're always here to chat
